Yall misunderstood something.
The curses didn't need to hold Gojo off for one minute, they needed to fight him for OVER 20 MINUTES for Geto to prepare the prison realm and get Gojo sufficiently on edge/distracted.
Then, once the prison realm is activated, Gojo needs to remain within 4 meters of it for one minute. That is what Jogo found so ridiculously impossible, keeping Gojo in a 4 meter radius for a full minute. But as Geto then explained, it only needs to be 1 minute in Gojos mind. So seeing Getos body again, the friend he thought he killed, flashed back all of those memories from his youth, thus YEARS have passed in his head in just a second and the 1 minute condition was more than fulfilled.

Also, about Gojos domain since everyone seems to misunderstand that.
Gojo did NOT kill anyone within the 0.2 seconds. He activated it for 0.2 seconds, which stunned everyone in the room with the information overflow and after that he took 299 seconds to kill 1000 transfigured humans with straight hands, no jujutsu techniques involved. He didn't attack the special grades because they are strong enough to wake up from any stimulation in that weak stun.
Gojo is crazy, but he can't just kill 1000 people in 0.2 seconds without using jujutsu. With his techniques he easily could of course lmao.

Lastly, if Gojo remains in the plot, the series becomes boring, don't you see that?
If he's there, theres zero tension and danger from the villains.
He needs to go. At least until enough shit went down that we need him again.
