As a Sony Xperia PRO-I user and fan for many years, I do not recommend any of their phones after Xperia XZ Premium or XZ3. They're full of problems and they don't seem to care anymore about their phones. I now have lost all fingerprint functionality after an update that was long awaited to fix a glitch in silent notifications. And I still see bugs in the Xperia Home app.

Their support app is outdated and they never answer your emails. Even with warranty they hardly help.

Sony Xperia Pro-i uses full glass lens like LG did in V30?

I only buy Sony phones, and this one is now at a price reduction. I took this profile picture with my Sony 10 i a few years ago, just going for a walk

Why are people so much confused with Sony's smartphone line up? There are basically just 4 line ups.

Xperia 1 series - For their flagships
Xperia 5 series - For their narrowed down flagships
Xperia 10 series - For their midrangers
Xperia Pro series - For their concept phones

That's it! As simple as that.

Even other companies have a lot more going on. Take Xiaomi for example. That company & it's consumers literally have no idea what their low to mid range phones are all about. They just launch the same phone under 3 different brandings with around 5-6 different names.

Then comes OnePlus & all other BBK corporation smartphones. Same phone with different colors & different brandings that's all.

Even no one still has been able to find out what is the position of F series in Samsung's line up.

But all are concerned sooo much with Sony's line up.

Except for Apple & Google I find Sony to be the only smartphone manufacturer to have the perfect line up. I wouldn't count Nothing in this thing cause they first need to decide which direction are they going.

Keep up SONY, no matter what others say. Proud to be an Xperia 1-iii user.

Honestly, Sony phones would be HIGHLY competitive if they were offered through the service companies with the typical payment plans we all need for $1200 phones!

if it was 18:9 ~7.2" screen, 6500mah battery, new zoom telescope from Xperia 1 V, second 1" sensor for ultrawide too with full usage from both sensors... Dreams.

All I really want to know with all smartphones is how long does it take from pulling out a locked phone, to taking a photo/video? And how many interactions does it take?
Can I just press the dedicated cam button and it will instantly be ready to shoot?

Just imagine the level of hype if that camera sensor and all the hardware was in an Apple phone. We all know Apple is your brand of choice. Please be more objective when it comes to Android and especially Sony. .They are light years ahead of Apple in terms of innovation and design.

I would imagine most pro photographers would actually prefer the images taken by the Sony as they have less processing. Therefore, they have more headroom to work with the image during editing. I'm not a professional photographer, but even to me most modern smartphone pics look over exposed and oversaturated. Like when you get a new TV and the default picture setting is in dynamic mode, almost burning out your retinas.

What a disappointment. I will never buy another Sony phone again, I might change into iPhone.

Very nice detailed review about the camera, hoped to listen more about the phone as well! Loved the explanatory graphics as well, very good, I know how these work and can see them in my mind, but it's a nice feature for people to gather some knowledge! To be honest, I liked the Sony photos way better, much better and more natural colours, the iPhone photos looked sterile. I'd buy the Xperia any day over anything else out there, just because of the UI and the manual options.

i got one and i think the updates make this a lot better, it was good but they made it better! beast of a phone overall

Amazing phone. I own an RX100mk7 and it's crazy they put that sensor in a phone. I have used LG for years, but they are no more so will shift to Sony at some point. The 5iv impresses me too. Love Sony gear. Excellent explanation 😁

I do not know if it is appropriate to ask such question, But I found an offer for Xperia Pro-I 512 GB , 12 GB , ram with 1000 Dollar, I am wondering if i am looking from Capacity and the current phone i have is Note 20 Ultra but i want to Upgrade , Should I take The Xperia- or should I take the S23 Ultra which with 512 it will be like at least 1500 dollars. and i am not sure it will have a superior Camera to the Xperia Pro-I

I've had a couple Sony phones and absolutely loved them. Just always seem to get better deals on OnePlus lately.

Hey mate? Could you make up your fluffing mind on what to base a good camera on? Like not switching between unrealistically colourful is a good point for how good a camera is on apple but realistic colourful is bad because it's Sony. I'm sorry mate but this video seems very biased.

My Sony Xperia pro i takes incredible pictures and videos. I love the natural tones, makes it way better to photo shop.

I was expecting some photo & video sample taken with Camera & Video Pro app. This is not a consumer centric product. So why hesitate to show that samples with manual control? This is not the first time I'm seeing this kind of Xperia reviews from MKBHD.

Curious about the microphone quality. Sure you could use an iRig on any phone, but one of the benefits to an iphone is the audio sounds really decent without even having to try.

So what it sounds like is the images pulled from this phone are meant to be shot in raw, whereas iPhone photos are artificially edited to look their best. So yeah, for most people an iPhone is going to look better in daily use, but for someone like me who uses Lr CC heavily, this might actually be useful for me

I see you have tech-term knowledge and knowledge of optics, electronics, etc. I started to use sony products in the 1980s and last was my small Vaio computer, I used another computer(Vaio-2000 time), and still works, but the memory and hard drive are obsolete but did not broke ever. My mother watch a 24or 26inch sony TV since 1986 and said that still works. Used sony Discman, sony cassette desk, sony cassette player, walkman, Minidisc, video camera, and so on. Dedicated sony products lover. Need to buy a sony camera, but it costs 8000$ which I like.

I just learned that in order for you to take good photos with your Sony Xperia I, you actually have to know how to take photos. I see that you also are on basic settings when you are taking photos. You should be on Manual.

someone needs to make a MAIN CAMERA system on one side and have both side with screens. so one can vlog, selfie instead of having to get all these add ons.

i have a feeling samsung is going to come out with it first because they have bending screens

A 1" sensor is only 0.6" across the diagonal, not 1" as you stated.

All the photo samples were way better on the Xperia, you have no taste. You also said Xperia is more natural looking, hence it takes the netter photos.
