That canon has a effictive range of 12 500 m so I guess it was a lot of emtey forrest behind that firering range for saftey.

IFV s (infantry fighting vehicles) like this one fits situations when mbt s (main battle tanks like challenger 2, t-90, t-72, leopard 2, abrams or simply tanks) fail. When weight is an issue to not ge stuck in types of ground, or size prevents progress due to other reasons.

I'm assuming that the necessary 40mm round will penetrate the armour of a modern tank. After all the 30mm rounds from the A-10 penetrate tanks. With that in mind aren't tanks with 120mm guns rendered obsolete? A smaller, faster, more mobile tank with a 40mm gun can destroy a heavy tank with a larger gun. The smaller tank can carry more ammunition too!

well you just forgot a (little) thing here the cv90 isn't a tank it's a IFV not a tank, so you can't compare it against a T-72 you stupid fuck.
