I did some thinking on how Light's world order would have ended up, and came up with a critical flaw in it:

Since aliens are bound to exist, if Kira's new world were to come across any sentient alien species (such as a galactic empire), then I'm pretty sure it'd crumble pretty quickly, since (going by the Death Note's wording) the Death Note might not be able to affect non-humans.
