First of all most kids dont have the coins to build what they want.2nd what define a good Lego car?a realistic replica of real world of something from your own imagination? The Lego community is going agianst themselves. Creativity is what it is technique also. I love 80s Lego cars the newer ones is not Lego imo. Its just pretend. I dont like that Lego became one piece stuff. Happened in late 80s make one piece bricks that take away from the Lego estetisk.

I prefer 6× cars for my city, jumpers and plates make it easy enough to fit 2 ppl per car. Just finished an awesome supercar/cyberpunk stule car. No problem fitting 2 figs inside

i make speed champions sized cars (8 wide) and you can fit way more detail so i recommend sometime you try making 8 stud wide cars, also the base plate for 8 stud wide speed champions is actually good

Sometimes it is easier to put 2 minifigs together if you lean one of them slightly forwards and the other backwards. Great vehicles - I will copy TD's building technique!

I have decided to take the plunge and try my hand at city building, thanks for the inspiration and information. I enjoy your channel immensely.

I've just begun my city building journey, and I am struggling to justify 6-wide at the moment. The scale looks odd in context of what few roads and buildings I have. 4-wide allows me to add density of units and flow of movement at eye level without drowning out detail of surrounding scenes.

I must admit, the "minimalist-cutesy" aesthetic that 4-wide lends itself to has grown on me. The lower brick count of my 4-wides is also helpful as I slowly accumulate more into my collection.

At least those are my justifications.

Because you said that the cars have to be 6 studs wide. That means that when you build trucks and buses for your city. They have to be (Like the train) 8 studs wide as well. AND THE ROADS HAVE TO BE BIGGER! >:D

lego city was a peaceful place, until its citizens discovered they couldnt steer their cars while driving down a hill at high speed...

Unpopular opinion here, but I somehow like 5 studs wide lego car models. That means that the 2x2 plates modified, which are responsible to connect the wheels, are attached using two jumper plates each and I like to use inverted brackets in the center to add more details to the sides/to the doors. It is always a fun challenge, the models are nice to display and I do not care about minifigure compatibility. Still a great video if I consider building something suiting to a City/to minifigures.
