Just spoke to my brother who lives in Europe and is an automotive enthusiast, he said a Memo was just released regarding serious issue in RAV4 HYBRID... AWD only...

So it turns out that the cable running to the motor that powers rear axle is corroding and needs replacing, it's a roughly $3,000 repair.

Models effected 2019 - 2022 build in CANADA. Memo also mentions USA but I didn't know they made RAV4 in USA.

Good info but you're mistaken on the cost difference of the hybrid. The upcharge is $1150 when compared to the same trim level AWD version. You may have been comparing to the same trim level FWD which is $1400 less. Those are the numbers for both the 2021 and the 2022 models.

I have the 21 XSE and like it a lot. Gets a bit better than the advertised MPG and has the creature comforts one generally likes. Good review in that it covered a lot without going on for 30 minutes. Well done.

I almost bought one but they were asking $5g over MSRP then when I got to the finance office they wanted $2,500 more. I backed out.

Been waiting almost three months for our Limited to be delivered here in Washington state. The salesperson doesn’t even know himself why the delivery has been delayed. I head it has to do with QC issues.

I have the limited hybrid 2021 rav4 awd ..but dont have a panoramic sun/moonrof just a little one up front.

It's a nice vehicle but the CVT makes it a no sale. More and more manufacturers are switching to this because it's much cheaper but the reliability is mute! 200,000 km tops. And you don't rebuild that transmission you replace it, at almost $5000
