Thank you so much for all the information Still don't understand all but better than it was before your explanation.
I never had a credit card and other than mortgage and small fees,I don't have anything coming off my card.
I pay everything but not actually from my card .
And now I want to buy holidays, but can't quite afford them ,they so expensive and some one told me about it that she buy the holiday with one credit card then she pays it off with an other one that was Virgin .
So I went checked out and I'm not eligible.
What do I do so my score would change for a better soon ,not in years ?

If you can, never use a credit card. In my experience I always spend more using a credit card than using my own cash and debit card. Perhaps for others does not apply?

This year i will travel a lot and estimated to spend 30k on hotels, dining and travel miles i need a card that will allow me to do this and receive rewards. Most cards i looked at have 10k limits and the rewards add up to pennies maybe 300 pound in cashback over the year. Whats the point but with the amex 10k limit it is even less

So I have the Barclaycard Avios Plus credit card which I do all my spending on because it earns me Avios. Over Christmas I’ve built my balance up quite a bit to about 4k and working to get it down, should I balance transfer this to the NatWest 0%?

Going forward, does that mean my barclaycard balance becomes £0 - and I can keep using it for my spending?

Really big question that could massively help me out, thanks 🙏

The more i listen to the benefits of credit cards, the higher the conviction that they are in almost all cases completely useless. Except in those country where they look a your credit score to see if you are a good worthy boy

Is cashback considered as interest for your tax return?

I know you said not to ask this, but I'm going to ask anyway....If I am a Vitality insurance product holder, wouldn't the clear winner be the AMEX Vitality Cashback card? It encourages you to work-out and in return you could earn in theory £310 per year in cashback on a £12k spend. No annual fee either.
I can't see how its possible to get the same value back in points or cashback from any other card with the same spend 🤔
