What’s funny is the Dreamcast can still play some of the newest releases that came on Xbox series X PS4 and PS5 Nintendo Switch like teenage mutant ninja turtles shredder revenge streets of rage 4 cowabunga collection that’s running in 16 bit graphics any many more it looks like publishers haven’t stopped making 16 bit graphics games so why stop making these games for the older consoles then when you want to make games for the newer consoles they should be powerful not 16 bit

I like this video but it seems like you were a late adopter to the system or didn’t really play a lot of games on it. Your list didn’t even include a best online game which is one of the best features of the system. That Powerstone didn’t make the list and it was definitely #1 or 2 in terms of fighting game quality says a lot. Phantasy Star Online didn’t earn a victory in any category? D2 wasn’t mentioned and it was definitely a top tier adventure game AND looked so much better than most. Chu Chu Rocket not winning beat puzzle game? Your list just seems a bit off when games that were definitely a cut above didn’t make the list.

Amazing video! Dreamcast games art style is just amazing, and the graphics are so crisp already in native res that if you upscale to 4K they look so clean its amazing.

Christmas Bundle with NBA/MLB/NFL 2k is why i went with Dreamcast. No one i knew had it, but to get those 3 sport games on n64 would have been more expensive. So, asked for the Dreamcast for Christmas. Childhood was saved because of that move. Sonic, 2k, Bass Fishing, Toy Commander, and that one Golf game.

If SEGA was able to obtain games like Fallout or Neverwinter Nights they would have dominated the market at the time. Especially for Fallout for its continuing titles. They also had licensed for Doom on the 32X platform! Doom still has a following today! What happened SEGA, I'm buying your titles for play on other systems...

Original Xbox has the second one for that platform in the US. Plus there is a remastered version with the first one. There is also a third one that came out a few years ago. All three is on steam rn.

I've never heard it said that Dreamcast is week for RPG's. Not sure where that came from. I think it has a pretty good and varied RPG catalogue, with some pretty decent dungeon crawlers included.

I actually still have my Dreamcast hooked up in my living room alongside my other consoles. I have 56 games, 4 controllers and a functioning VMU. It's my all time favorite console, so I just can't have it sitting on my gaming shelf collecting dust.

Soul Calibur was something I played on the Dreamcast, then in the arcade. I remember being shocked at how bad the arcade graphics were compared to the Dreamcast. That sensation was surreal. A console better than the arcade?!? Oh, and there's another shoot 'em up that's WAY better than the two you mentioned. It's a weird word, and in the game, you can alternate between light and dark modes, depending on what weapons are firing on you. What's the name, dang it?!?

I will never forget going around with my little green memory card that had my phantasy star online stuff on it. Man i loved this system and all its little quirks.

Love the DC, and this is a great list...but it is of course just one person's opinion. I got to throw ever so mild shade here and say you got no business making a Dreamcast Best Of list if you don't have Power Stone, Toy Commander, Speed Devils, Space Channel 5, and Typing of the Dead on there. :)

I can't take this list serious without one of the best fighting games ever.... POWERSTONE 💎💎💎 not to mention....where tf is Ready2Rumble and Tony Hawk?!?!?!

Personally I'd put Daytona USA as the runner up racer and Hydro Thunder in 1st, both are more exciting than MSR imo

Of all the console releases. This has been my favorite system . Got the system at midnight on 9.9.99. With sonic and soul caliber. Not even the ps4 or ps5 made me more excited then the DC release.

Shenmue is a runner up to none. It created so many new concepts and influenced countless titles thereafter. You also consider it an action title instead of an RPG?

DoA2 as the fighting game runner up? Come one, the two best fighting games on the Dreamcast are SoulCalibur and MvC 2. You can add SF3 as well but DoA2 doesn't belong here (I'd say it's maybe #5)
