Hey Todd when should we expect the LTT Screwdriver review?
ОтветитьThese videos are oddly therapeutic. ❤
ОтветитьIt appears that you only test 1 glove of each brand for each test. I 'm guessing there's some variance in individual gloves and I understand it would be a LOT more work but, have you ever thought about testing say 5 of the gloves for each test to get an average result?
ОтветитьFor what I use gloves for (when needed around the house) I think the Safe Skin gloves will do the job. =] ~And I appreciate this video; 🙂👍 tho exhaustive beyond anything I need to put on a pair of gloves for, it's helped me see the differences in what different gloves offer, and particularly what *I should look for. And I especially appreciate this because I've been holding back for so long, to buy 1 of these boxes of gloves for $10+, then you have a whole 100 of them ... and what if they're not the right ones! So I'm gonna start with Safe Skin's 40 gloves package. 👍
ОтветитьWords Can't Describe But I Thank You A Millions For Your Awesome & Amazing Job On These Videos!!!!
ОтветитьVenom steel is good, I wear the orange, but what’s the difference in the venom steel blue, green, orange, black etc
ОтветитьWonderful comparison
I've got some super terrible gloves and they're going straight into my garbage can
You nee to redo this test with 7+ mil gloves only if you can.
Ответитьwell venom steel now at 1,20€ a pair... guess they saw that vid xD
ОтветитьThanks for this test, Todd. Wondering though why you included the 2 lighter weight Harbor Freight gloves, but didn't also pick up the 9mil/heaviest HF glove while you were at it. Something you didn't test is the actual thickness of the gloves (with a micrometer, etc.) versus what the manufacturer claims. A 'mil' is one thousandth of an inch. The gloves I've tested are no where near what the manufacturer claims, to the point of being fraudulent!
ОтветитьI use the Hardy brand like in this video DIY repairs on my vehicles and they tear all the time. I normally put 2 pairs on at the same time.
ОтветитьHowdy, Great video! Thanks for your diligence in testing. I was surprised to see that you used "muscle power" to pull on the gloves in various tests. Other videos, you used a mechanical device to do the pulling. Considering muscle power is relatively less linear in direction and force applied, would the results be different with a constant pulling force?
I really need to investigate glove liners, when I'm using any latex, or nitrile gloves, they get very squishy with sweat, and my fingers look like prunes when I get them out. IF ever this test is repeated, could you include the gloves sold at Costco? sometimes they change brands so this may not prove anything... Thanks again for your time with the testing! 😃
This was a good test because it's a thing we need and they vary so damn much. i made the mistake of trying the Hardy 5 mil. Won't be buying those again. the 7 looks like a better choice for the money. Nice job , and your channel is doing well !
ОтветитьI should've come here first. A Greasy salesman sold me some orange gloves with little bumps all over front and back. They are the slipperiest gloves. Cant even hold onto any tools.
Then i searched for non-slip gloves and seen your beautiful glove test show. Ill pick grease monkey.
You forgot the most important test. Permeability...... You'll get cancer and much much worse from some chemicals that permiate these gloves i was surprised to just learn
ОтветитьSAS Thickster gloves are amazing, can even rinse/ reuse. Extended cuff too
ОтветитьI personally tried the Grease Monkey brand years ago, I thought they were terrible, along with another brand called Midnight. I use the Ravens now, have been for 10 years or better now and love them, only issue is since the pandemic I have noticed that the quality has gone down slightly and the price has doubled...I also usually get an entire day out of 1 or 2 pairs taking them on and off multiple times a day. I use them to work on trucks and cars, also using them with heating oil, motor oil, parts washer fluid and carb clean and they hold up well, before taking them off I sometimes wash my hands with dawn dish soap, they are usually like new after they are dry...Also for the price I like the 5 mil Hardys, for my home garage, but they dont stand up to chemicals well...
ОтветитьI wear size medium Hardy gloves. How would the Venom Steel One Size Fits Most fit me?
ОтветитьI fell into the rabbit hole and in binge watching all your vids
I love it I’ve been working as an alarm installer but recently got into school to be an A&P
Project Farm you have helped me make the best tool buying decisions for when I was broke and now to where I have money to afford the big boys. Thank you!!!!
Best Teflon tape?
Ответитьhow would the gloves do if you swapped the gasoline out for diesel do you think?
ОтветитьNot sure it's a good test of disability of they aren't all the same thickness. It's apples to oranges at that point.
ОтветитьFairy godparents
ОтветитьExcellent video. I always use Venom steel gloves. Thanks for the awesome video.
ОтветитьI like the 9 mil Hardy's best ones i used so far....i got big ass hands and they offer XXL plus they only 15 bucks....its going to be hard to switch to others
ОтветитьWould be interesting to hear about the 9 mill gloves
ОтветитьI was REALLY disappointed you only tested the 5 & 7 Mil and not the 9 Mil Harbor Freight (Blk) gloves. I frequently use them; would've loved to know how they stack up. If you have any feedback on them, plz share!
ОтветитьI think I'll try the Venom Steel . I have used Raven for years but they get a little loose and when you're working on small carburetor parts you need better dexterity.
Thanks again Project Farm for another great video
I knew you'd have a video on this one . I buy the Raven Nitrile gloves and they are ok but a real hassle to get on if bbn your hands are not completely dry and after 10 minutes your hands are sweating
ОтветитьPerhaps you could test butyl gloves for those of us that work in aviation? They need to be resistant to skydrol and 5606 for chemical test
ОтветитьAwesome video, as usual. I always turn to your channel first when I am in the market for a product.
ОтветитьSuper great video and wonderful information
ОтветитьGreat video only complaint is you listed price of the package instead of price per glove in the charts so it makes it seem like the HDX Hardy 7 mil and safeskin have similar price vs performance as the grease monkey when in fact they r actually more expensive than grease monkey and don’t perform as well. And in fact even the venom and raven have better overall values. Definitely agree with your conclusion that having the venom steel and grease monkey are the best choices to have around.
ОтветитьAny plan for a heat resistant gloves for oven or bonfire use etc?
Ответитьsolid video!!
What a treat!
Where any of them made in the US?
best gloves for wood stain? Most I've tried rip as I use a sponge and dip
ОтветитьCrazy that the venom steel at 6 mil out performed the thicker and more expensive harbor freight. Now we just need one in between disposable and the Demo gloves from the other video 😂
ОтветитьCan you do the comparison of the best ceramic coating for car painting please
ОтветитьVenom steel is such a cool name lol
ОтветитьThis channel is so so good. However, I feel the results may be off a bit because of using the wrong size glove. On a daily basis as an EMT/Firefighter and on off days a contractor I have worn a lot of Nitrile and Latex gloves. Most will pick a size too large for their hand which creates touch and dexterity issues. I am usually an XL in gloves but by going down to a size Large and using baby powder before attempting to put them on makes a night and day difference. Yes not as easy to do but for me, the extra effort is so worth it.
Ответитьwould love to see a video of every type of venom steel glove against each other, there are multiple types.
ОтветитьThank you for the review, I tried the Venom Steel gloves based on this video. My experience with them is not good. Luckily they sell them in a twelve pack where I am and I didn't have to spend much to find out they don't work for me. The 'one size fits most' doesn't really apply to me (I have mechanics 'banana hands') and they just tear with the slightest nick or snag. I've used Ravens for years with acceptable performance. I do appreciate the work you do and enjoy all of your videos that I have watched, please do keep up the good work!
ОтветитьI have both the Hardy 7 mil and venom steel on my work truck. Hardy also has a 9 mil glove sold at harbor freight
ОтветитьI'm not sure of the final review ?
The the Steel brand come in first and Raven second.?
I've used raven for years and they seem to do well but I was looking for something that fits more snug like the surgeons gloves when working on small carburetors and similar items.. more dexterity
Thank again for another great video
More gloves to test:
DENCO DISTRIBUTING, INC. Grease Bully Nitrile Gloves - 6MIL
Dura-Gold HD Black Nitrile Disposable Gloves, 6 Mil
TITANflex Disposable Nitrile Exam Gloves, 6-mil
Black Mamba Super Strong Nitrile
Schneider
I use the raven when staining wood floors. They work good. Ive noticed they are a little thinner now and rip easier tho.
ОтветитьBought a box of VS, been disappointed a little, they rip vary easily.
