Here in Germany, I was tought breast stroke in my childhood and I am still angry about this, because after I have been some years in a swimming club it should be the crawl style to be taught first. It really could safe your life. Most people here think, that they can keep theire head above the water, while swimming. But in a life threatening situation, crawl is, what could get you out.

Doggy paddle is so underrated. It is a powerful drill to develop an effective catch for freestyle swimming.

As someone who nearly drowned as a child “relaxing with your head under the water” is pretty difficult to do.

i learned my lesson about wearing the right thing after a boob slip... so embarrassing!! as i was pushing myself off to swim a lap me entire bathing suit slipped down while a guy was swimming with goggles near me!!!
