If you turn off the water to the toilet and THEN flush, there will be almost no water in the bowl.

I found you can lower the standing water level in the bowl by quickly pouring a pan or bucket of water from a higher level into the bowl.

How about using The Pink STuff? I heard it was supposed to be great

My toilet, even thought I had been clean daily, still has a hard mineral ring. I can actually feel it when I run my hand through. I used that product and scrub but it barely comes off.

U used the Wet gloved hand to grab the barkeepers friend then put it bak in ur kit!! 😰

Thank you! It works!!! I never heard of barkeepers friend cleaner until I saw your vid today. Found it at Walmart. We have a stain on the inside rim of a toilet bowl-I've used Comet, and Comet with bleach and the stain remained. I used the bartenders friend and the stain is GONE!!! Thank you!!!

You didn't use regular powdered cleanser like Ajax? Is that because of the porcelain coating?

I'm thanking the Lord for you! This video is just what I needed. The toilet looks like one of ours, and my efforts so far have not removed the stains. You've just taught me what to do with BKF. What do you think of old toothbrushes instead of old sponges for this?

Liquid cleaners are overpriced compared to plain old Ajax. Heh . . . my Mom never made the switch to Scrubbing Bubbles. She said that stuff was for lazy people, and it never got anything all the way clean.

Once it's all shiny and clean, my husband will need to take a massive gassive.

Cheep denture cleaner does a amazing job add 2 pills to your toilet bowl let it sit for 10 minutes then scrub with a toilet brush then flush ( clean and fresh smelling) shaving cream cleans your water faucet sinks tub and glass shower doors and smells amazing 😉

i would close the lid when flushing toilet and not have my face right in front of it water and dirt from toilet splashes out whenever you flush to get on you and surrounding area.

Try soaking with ammonia under saran wrap.
That stuff is tougher than nuclear waste.

Put on a rubber glove on and scrape it off with a single edge razor blade at the water line. It's faster and more effective than else I've tried, including commercial products! Try it! It works!

No way did that supposed stain come off with that brush. Someone needs to show you how to lower a waterline BEFORE PRODUCT. BTW. BKF is approved to clean glass cooktops too😀

If you don’t have a liquid cleaner just aim and pee harder and pray it doesn’t splash back

Love this stuff since discovering it. Clean glass top stoves, scratched a floor tile moving your fridge? Use this to remove worn metal from appliance legs, burnt on carbon in pans - carbon steel/enameled cast iron/stainless doesnt matter but dry carbon steel pans immediately after as they react & rust otherwise. Haven't tried it on toilets though.

You touched the cleaner container with your nasty glove and put in your bag. A huge no no. Working in Healthcare, that's cross contamination, big time!!! You can die from those germs.

Both tubs in my rented apartment have been paintd. It started to peel just by my using a magic eraser things. What can I use to clean this painted surface without peeling off the paint?

Put over night denture tabs ... 2 in and in morning that ring is gone!

Turn the water off behind the toilet. Flush. No plunging required. When you're finished cleaning, turn water back on to fill tank and flush.

Your advice is good, but I don't expect a toilet bowl to be that neglected.
I found that simple bleach in your toilet bowl over night, makes your toilet bowl sparkle.

I have recently discovered Barkeeper's Friend, and it is completely worth the few extra cents it costs over Comet (previous best). And, I use it to clean my toilets. (Conventional toilet cleaners are almost ineffective when you have well water!) Thanks to thumis video info, I will start using the rubber gloves & the 'scrubber'!

Thank you! You helped me solve a bad soap scum problem that a senior friend had at his house. I did the vinegar/Dawn dish soap and the Bar Keeper Friend. Followed up with my steam cleaner. He's very happy 😊.

My toilet is clean I’ve pulled it apart and cleaned it and all around it and do this every second day. But I can still smell urine. No one else in my family can smell it but I can it bothers me so much.

Only tenants keep a ring like that.
