The salt, water, and air are what CAUSE oxidation. Using salt as an abrasive will just accelerate the oxidation. Using baking sofa and vinegar create an acid, which will etch the aluminum. Allowing for broader oxidation. Waste of a lemon. Worst cleaning video ever.

Will the acid damage rubber? I'm trying to clean an old gas mask and not sure if this will do

Will it take the color off anodized part? If clean it this way ?

Is this safe to use inside cooking pans etc.?
