The guys problem is really just his confidence and hes not putting himself out there. Chicks dig blue collar dudes especially young and fit ones. So you arent educated? Big deal bro you still do well for yourself but you have to own it. Be proud of what you do. If you sulk about never having gone to college then women will pick up on that. Theyll know you dont have confidence in yourself and that's a turn off.

Im my early 20s to late 20s I let my decent looks, my sport cars and my income do my talking for me. It got me my ex wife, a pretty, tall(5-10), slim but shapely "sharon stone" like woman, lasted only 7 yrs, divorced after 3 yrs. She wanted to "upgrade" so she filed for divorce and I happily obliged her.
I used the same "tatics" to meet my next gf...a shorter, curvaceous, brunette "Jennifer Hewitt" type. We were together 6 yrs, had 10 acres of land, brand new 4 bdroom home with pool and two BMWs. When she was 31 she cheated on me with an 18 yr old boy...and then left me holding the bag. I sold everything, gave her what I was required by law and bought a used truck and moved into a 1 bedroom apartment. And I didnt date for 2 yrs.
When I was ready I started back to my old "standards," and dated the attractive, sexy "top tier" looking women. All ended fairly quickly.
I decided to "lower" my standards, and aftet a few months I met a "average plain jane" woman. No make up wearing, conservative dressed, conservative personality. A little lacking in confidence in her appearance and desirability etc.
She was not the prettiest woman I had been with
Nor the sexiest or most outgoing personality. And she knew it, she had seen pictures of my ex's.
She wasn't ugly by any means. She was 5'8 about 140, kinda "crazy" redhair (curly), long legs but no butt, slim waist but nice hips and breasts. A Susan Sarandon type. But she was humble and unpretentious.
And there was something about her that attracted me. I think it was her own humilty and insecurities in herself, the lack of confidence in her own appearance, that intrigued me.
So instead of trying to bed her, I tried to get to know her.
That was 22 yrs ago. We've been married 15 yrs now. And I've had the privilege and honor to see her grow, inside and out. She became more confident in herself. Do to healthy diet, exercise, she has aged gracefully. Never wearing make up has left her skin in amazing shape as well.
Today, she is now 44 and to me, she is the prettiest woman I've ever been with. And the sexiest. And the most feminine. She is less conservative in her personality. She is still conservative in her daily wardrobe but when we are together...she wears flattering outfits that she knows I like seeing her in. She's strong willed, successful in her career, has a higher income than I. But she also sees me as "the man and is head of household and relationship."

And I'm always thankful I took that chance with the "average plain jane" woman she once was when we first met. In doing so we BOTH have grown for the better...together.

Whether you're male or female...look at your "standards" for a "mate." Are they truely realistic? And is your opinion of yourself a little overrated? Could an adjustment in lowering them both just a little bit be to your advantage?
I know doing both was ultimately the best thing for myself. I've seen my ex's over the yrs. The ex-wife is with husband #4 and though still attractive, she shows her age. The "cheater" ex gf is still single, over weight and has two kids by two men who arent around anymore.

In the end I didn't "date down." I definitely dated up...by a few levels! And it's a great boost to my ego when others see who I am with, and then look at me with that "dude you did good/how did you do it" look. 😂😜👍
