Things I Wish I Knew Earlier In Nier Replicant Remake (Tips & Tricks)

Hey friend..I know this is an "old" game for ya..but I just started playing this & have a quick question...during combat is it set that you can't use a health potion? Every time I hit the options button it just takes me to the screen to change my magic spells. Is there a way to set up health potions to the d-pad like you can with weapons? Or am I just out of luck in that regard? Thanks..like your walkthroughs & vids..keep 'em coming. Thanks!!,

My fear was not being able to do a quest that will prevent me from attempting to complete it 😭

Wish I had known the words had to be applied to weapons for their effect to function.

After certain events in Aerie in Act II, eagle egg won't be available anymore which is necessary to upgrade Phoenix spear so get it before doing the Aerie quest in Act II. Although now I am stuck with black pearls (also material required for the spear upgrade) since the nodes stopped appearing in Seafront... hope they will be available again later on in the game through the DLC content

30 hours in and I just learn that you can slow down time by casting a spell while standing still

Bruh, i never use lock on enemies. When i press evade, the character would able to randomly evade to enemies backside . So i need to lock the enemies on to activate perfect evade. Lol

Tip #1 be emotionally strong

So if I missed 2 quests in part 1 can I never complete them? Or after ending E is there chapter select like automata and it saves quest progress across all playthroughs

Playing with a controller with turbo function, having dark blast on turbo so that I can just hold it and fire only stronger blasts has helped balance the hard difficulty and save me the literal pain of constant tapping the button.

i definitely notice that rolling made traveling faster, also im that kinda person that rolls or jumps to where ever i go on games. lol

You spoiled the aging of the character in the first minute of the video Wtfaq I did not want to know the main character aged…

Fastest child movement is the same as adult: use the roll/attack/roll chain. It's is still slower than a spear, but since you're restricted to one-handed swords at the beginning of the game it doesn't matter.

best weapon = phoenix spear

When an enemy lies on the ground keep shooting at him with R1, he can not stand up and you can finish him with the finisher (circle on Playstation).

I thought it was 24 hours for the plants. Get so frustrated sometimes as if I forget or just can't get online one day then that plant is gone and withered.

i wish i knew right on the d pad accessed the spears. i literally collected every single weapon without knowing it because i didn’t know spears were their own category and i thought my game was bugged since i was “missing” about 9 weapons

I knew I wasn't crazy for thinking the roll/attack/roll/attack chain felt faster!!!!

I started rolling right away. I think if you are a zelda vet you may notice that right away and just keep spamming the R. Did notice late that adult Nier runs just as fast as he rolls but by then I just got used to rolling.

Pretty obvious one, but... save as often as you can. It's free and likely to prevent some frustrating occurrences.

if u playing on hard . the armored enemies are hard to kill with simple attacks . just use the spiers magic and once they are down on the ground just press circle to execute them

GET THE PHOENIX SPEAR IN FACADE WEAPON SHOP AS SOON AS YOU CAN AND UPGRADE THAT SUCKER IN THE JUNK HEAP.

note that the free LDC pack with 4 costumes and 4 weapons is also on xbox consoles.

Wish I knew that you can’t go back and do part one side missions I did all side missions except for one so now I have to replay the whole game
