I was 16 years old, about a year after this video I politely asked her at one of her shows in the parking lot in San Francisco if she would sign the album I just bought. She was maybe drunk and two guys were holding her up and she looked at me with a shitty look and said, "Sign it? IM NOT GOING TO SIGN IT" with an angry look on her face. As a teenage girl from the country, my heart was broken. But her show the night before was so good I did my best to put the bad interaction past. But watching this video I did have to laugh at her discussion about communicating with her fans and being upset that she couldn't meet David Bowie. I would have rather not met her at all then her be rude to me.
But it was probably just a bad moment. We were front row at the show the night before and she put on an amazing performance. Unforgettable.

She is one of those (no offence to others intended) unique women who make life worth living.
