I Just Made The Safest Base in The Forest History

Hi. Major game fan here who’s got over 300 hours in the forest. You’re Completely wrong. It’s not the safest and far from it. If a cow man charges you, it’s over. A Virginia can easily jump to it if they get the angle right. And later on the game when Megan clone and the worm spawns, you’re screwed completely. Not to mention you wouldn’t be able to leave the base without getting attacked since there’s up to 3 or more patrol paths in that area alone. No the safest places to build are above sink hole, one of the smaller island out on the side of the main island, and the big open field at the right back side of the map. I don’t need to explain the first 2 but for the field, since there’s only one patrol path that goes anywhere near it, you won’t be getting attack till day 50 and that’s if you didn’t build any defenses.

I did that too. Great location.

This spot is also great because it's near the hanging cave, and if you do get grabbed up, you'll have an easier time getting back to your base. It IS literally right next to a camp though so you have to be really careful

Add the second zip line diagonal opposite from rock to shore to exit base too without entering water Shure it will cost another 10 logs and rope but it is worth it.

Everyone gangster until winter comes. I tried this once, but because I had spent so much time inside in the warmer seasons, there was an army of cannables waiting for me once the pond froze over. Lost my base, virginia, and woke tied up in a cannable camp. I know I could have just made a wall around the lake, but there’s another thing. You can NEVER sleep.

Bro this is so much like my house based on the pond but in a different location in another pond. This one is alot bigger i think. I had the same idea.

U can make base on rocks at snow biome there is place that is too op when u build stairs here u got flat place so u can build there and mutants and cannibals cant get here

Well you will not ever seen any cannibals if you build base in the Small islands around the map...if you wonder how to get some logs?
Here is the answer:
Use zip line
You can also build 2 small docks just to use boats so you can get back at the main island.

I only played it on peaceful and looking desperately for the most beatuful place to build :/ everyone is playing this game how it supposed to be and i know nothing and just want to have a nice CabinSim😂😂😂

There is a safer spot: off shore from the big cannibal village, there is a glitch where you can build on one log deep platform.

And the worm will fly to you

Safest place is easily the east island.

In one of my games there was a live shark that swam at the front of the recked boat

From experience your Safe now but when winter comes your screwed they'll walk over that frozen ice just to say hello and break a few walls down.

What about in the winter when it freezes?

I always build my base in the fertile valley (what Farket calls it) on the Far East side of the map. On my most recent play through me and my buddy put a houseboat on the middle of that little pond and every normal cannibal just dies and we can make the jump to the boat. Super nice cause you can build drying racks storage and planters on the outside. I love sons of the forest but I still get hella nostalgic for this game

Or you just build the boat

Just surround your walls with a ton of stick spikes and all the enemys kill themselves by walking in it
With this technic you're safe everywhere

I beat the game with no base, you don't even need one

Safest place for any building regardless is in the menu under building destruction off >.<

Winter

Me and the boys made a coastal fortress just to get attacked at midnight by late game mutants. They forced us to evacuate to the sea and explore for a new home just for us to find this exact particular spot.

That's great until Winter and it freezes

No inside the plane

You could actually build bases within the cave systems. After they are cleared out it's not only a safe option but an aesthetic option. Cave bases are some of the coolest looking in the forest. Just put a couple log containers in the entrance of the cave and you can transport all the logs inside the caves.
