The sad thing is that in reality he was abusive and sexually abused young women. None of this fairytale nonsense
ОтветитьYou'll never know how some children will turn out. Set a cultist lady took things to a dark place
ОтветитьI think my real “problem” with this movie is the lady had no reason for attacking the family/Arne like she’s just an asshole lol
ОтветитьThey should do an Exorcist/ Conjuring Crossover: Pazuzu & Regan vs Ed & Lorraine Warren
ОтветитьI know this came out in Covid and nobody knew but it was just so devastating watching this at home. This was the time when they released movies in theaters and on Max. so I saw it on max and it was not what I was expecting. It felt like a spinoff. Not one of the Avenger level threats. 😂
ОтветитьI love that denethor was in this movie
Ответитьits a lot less cute of a love story now that we know Ed had a 15 year old girlfriend living with the family. yikes
ОтветитьExcept that she is a real person, and perhaps that had to do with how much they could/felt they should use her fictional counterpart in the series. One of the biggest critisms of the franchise is its insistence to keeping the real world connection over publically embracing its fictional reality. Maybe they felt having her in situations that had no possibilty of occuring was pushing things too far with the fans or she wouldn't agree to certain representations of her to meet scripts, or the pay she would receive for her image usage, etc. These things can get complicated in these kind of situations. You have writing, producing, marketing AND legal brought into this.
ОтветитьSo much for separation of church and state. Why do people have to take an oath over a Bible in court? That is sooooooo unconstitutional.
ОтветитьIts funny because the real documentary about this case came this week and this movie its far from the truth of what it happened to david and arne
Ответитьi heard this is still the sccariest conjuring
ОтветитьI laughed while watching it at the movie theater…that says everything you need to know 😂
ОтветитьI feel like Foundflix's forgets these are supposed to be 'based on a true story' movies hence why I think they're not stepping too far out of the box with these. I personally liked this one better than the 2nd but nothing will top the 1st.
ОтветитьI wanna point out that this film stood out to be the truest to the title. The other two makes the conjuration in the forms of illusory visions created by the demons.
"The Conjuring" where antagonist Isla Kastner actually does conjure, basically.
What's the significance of the 22 stabs?
ОтветитьConjuring, insidious, Annabelle series are just like the MCU- it’s these huge blockbuster movies that my orthodox Christian parents love & actually watch in the cinemas when they came out lol
ОтветитьI will say this movie is interesting, but at the same time a lot of real life murder cases, the second the culprit is arrested the bastard will claim that "the devil made me do it". Unfortunately 99% of cases like this are just people being monsters, not monsters being monsters :(
ОтветитьWhy isn't Mr. Found Flix writing these movies?!?! 😅
ОтветитьWhat irritated me most bout this movie is that David’s entire story could’ve been a movie by itself and they just skipped to the end of it then made up an entire storyline. The claws on the walls was pretty sick though along with the exorcism itself
ОтветитьOf course Baphomet is down there in that guys cult cellar, let’s just ignore the fact that he was initially worshiped by the Knights Templar, who were early Catholic soldiers, and was a symbol of balance not evil but whatever
ОтветитьThank you for another superb review
ОтветитьOutside of the clever bit with “the clap game” and the bit with the sheet in the first movie I think this series peaked with the Nun demon when it came to creepy ghost design. Funny cause I think the best spooky thing the Blumhouse horror series ever came up with and never really topped was the demon from the first Insidious and Everything afterwards has just been a grey woman that likes to jumpscare people and frankly is a really big disappointment when they finally show it. At least the Nun had some creepy glowing eyes and that great bit with the painting
ОтветитьIf i don't see the "Crocked Man" back on the big screen I am going to freak!!!!
ОтветитьI think the only time I got scared was during the David versus the water bed scene
ОтветитьBased on my memory, I think this movie is supposed to be loosely based on what happened at the amitiville
ОтветитьThe ending ruin the movie for me, why do they always choose the “LOVE CONQUERS ALL” concept instead of an actual ending
ОтветитьI used to be a soul sacrificing adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee.
ОтветитьI wish Jody could have been on the case. The obsession of the ex-priest caused his daughter to go off the deep end. This could draw a parallel with Jody with an end credits scene hinting her enthusiasm might lead her to dangerous places.
ОтветитьDang Ed warren really channeled his inner jack Torrance for that last half hour
ОтветитьI understand what Chris’s beef with this movie is. If it had been a movie called “the devil made me do it “ and sold it as an exorcism flick, he might have liked it but the fact that they slapped “the conjuring” on it just because it featured the warrens really made expectations for it higher than it should’ve. And it’s not scary at all Miss marketing at it’s finest
ОтветитьThe heart issues was something Ed really suffered from because of the stress of the job. I think you characterizing it as another useless plot point is funny when you yourself stated you loved their relationship and then to not want them to have real human (terrifying) experiences. The point is to show this was a real life issue Lorraine couldn’t fix with all her knowledge of the occult and her faith, among other reasons.
ОтветитьI found the movie with just the kids in the house kind of a disappointment. I went expecting an Ed and Lorain story not scoobie doo. A big thing to remember about anything based on their case files is the simple fact that even the written books about their work were boosted for spookynes by the ghost writer. At Eds direction I might add. Good series though so theres that.
ОтветитьI was watching this in a haunted house lol
ОтветитьI can't watch this. This guys voice is like nails on a chalkboard.
ОтветитьI think I need to give this one a re-watch because I seem to remember not enjoying this one as much.
ОтветитьArnie is still locked upp ???? 💔💔
ОтветитьIn 1981, the real daughter Judy was 31. An article said she wasn’t interested in what her parents did.
No sense in falsely adding her when she wasn’t part of that world so to speak.
Isn't it Ed and Lorraine's fault that people died because the convinced an impressionable kid that he caught the possession.
I mean to clarify: irl not in the movie
There is a island scene just before the verdict scene at the end. A man is seen walking to a grave and seats near it. Any idea who that is.
Ответить“In this latest installment of the Catholic MCU”
Ответитьcan imagine if we got all up in arms about the misrepresentation of satanists in media like we do with mentally ill people?
ОтветитьWe wanted it explained not you wrong opinion
ОтветитьJust watched this on HBO but missed some parts. No better place to go for a recap than here lol
Eta: spolier
why didn't Lorraine just swipe the table off instead of trying to flip it?
How in the world was that lady doing so much to different people at once?
What was that lady's deal with demon, and how did she choose her victims?
Bro the movie doesn’t follow nothing that happened in real life
ОтветитьI’m rewatching the first conjuring and I gotta say it holds up 9 years later
ОтветитьDid you actually watch this movie?
Ответить
