Im glad i found this browser and end the google chrome bullshit.

I don't understand why ungoogle your browser, it's safer and pratical with Google, at least for me, i do use everything of Google, and i do have a Android phone and i love the sync, i use the AD Block add-on, that's it, now change my mind.

too much trouble this browser .... the developers could have put adblock or/and ublock by default ....

Ungoogled Chromium comes included in the Zorin Linux Software Manager. So far, so good...
- The only thing is- when I was installing it - a prompt came up to rename UnGoogled Chromium... I entered a different name, but now want to change it again. Does anybody know how to do this? As said: this is on Zorin 26 Linux.

I've heard on Wrapper Offline/Wrapper Hub's discord that I need to have Ungoogled Chromium or Basilisk to run any of the apps I can use since Ungoogled Chromium I guess supports Flash longer than the OG Chrome and Chromium. I don't know if that's true.

There is now a github project called Chromium Web Store, that adds a download button directly to the Chrome Web Store pages to get the CRX file. It also auto-updates plugins as well, I think, so that's convenient.
I'm honestly torn between Waterfox and Ungoogled Chromium, both are great projects that have a very positive focus on privacy and security, I just don't have a solid decision to stick to right now, after sticking purely to Firefox, or more preferably Waterfox, for I don't know how long now.

You can download the source of most extensions (like UBlock Origin - the source is at the listed 'homepage' on the Chrome Web Store or a link from that homepage), build them locally, and install them as unpacked extensions in ungoogled chromium. Worth it for not having to trust CRX Extractor, et. al. :thumbs-up:
