Impractical design, first NTS without storage solution. Seems like the space hasn’t been used to its optimal.
The ambient is lovely though.
👌
ОтветитьJapanese master design as its best ! Love the « spiritual » places ! Very zen indeed!
ОтветитьWhy did they wear shoes in the house?!
ОтветитьMixed feelings about this one, with lots of great ideas to inspire me as well! I appreciate unconventional layouts that challenge my design style. Thanks for sharing! 🥰❤
Ответить1. Why not just put tatami instead of wood flooring?
2. Stepping all over the kitchen bench to go to bed?
3. Need to step all over the genkan to access the other bedroom?
no art, no colour, no coziness, sad😂
ОтветитьI don‘t like minimalism😂
ОтветитьThis apartment is amazing and beautiful!! The only thing I would change is to make the main bedroom the actual "living room" space (especially so you can have a tv in an appropriate spot), actual sofa and stuff. Then the other bedroom would work better as the main bedroom.
ОтветитьVery beautiful
ОтветитьSTUNNING.
ОтветитьNOPE.
Form follows function.
Nice materials, but as a 40-something person I will say no to sitting on the floor, climbing through a hole to meditate, and opening the bathroom to my dining room and kitchen. For that reason, I'm out.
ОтветитьFake 🌲
ОтветитьJapanese style but shoes in the house. yikes.
ОтветитьI absolutely love this apartment I think it's beautifully done you can see the calming elements the warmth from the wood elements It's sublime and its simplicity well done I absolutely love it I'd be jolly happy to live there❤
ОтветитьOne of my favourite ones in the series❤
Ответитьmeditation room = storage room
Ответитьground level food preparation surfaces just does not do any good in my mind
ОтветитьNot crazy about the no-maintenance plastic plants? Not in a zen apartment. Makes no sense. You can't have it all. Bad vibes
ОтветитьFake plants and sitting on the floor, not for me I'm afraid.
ОтветитьIt's beautiful but I am not sitting on a wood floor as a couch. Not practical
ОтветитьI Love the aesthetics, BUT it doesn't align with Asian Fengshui. the bed facing a kitchen sink, a definite NO NO. And the bathroom open into a toilet bowl which faces the kitchen and the bed is another NO NO. The meditation space is excellent, but the living area watching TV is another miss, not comfortable, and you have to twist your neck to watch TV. The crawl space storage is rather troublesome. Not practical.
ОтветитьThe second bedroom and the bathroom, as well as the entry/genkan, is really nice. But the kitchen.. including the fridge and that tiny storage space, coupled with the weird lack of privacy in the main bedroom and the meditation space.. just why? I can't help but think after the novelty wears off I would just not want to sleep or spend any meaningful time in the main bedroom/ meditation space since it's like almost a pain to get to...
ОтветитьSo we're just skipping over the fact that the toilet is in the kitchen.
ОтветитьNice all beautiful until he's walking around with the dirty shoes on 😂
Ответитьan folding bed to get to the area underneath (like a pool) would be way better 😊 may an thing for the customer, but its a bit of a mess over all in my opinion. i absolutely dont like how to use the spaces. the step things must be integrated bcs its a thing in japan so they got an platform ok. then steps over the countertop as if its living in an van. i sure miss an cozy chillout are aka sofa place. sry, i absolutely dont like that one. the working space is an joke 😅
ОтветитьSmaller!! Bath bed kitchen dining ONE room
Cook on the toilet, sleep in the shower
WORK
The nicest one (to my taste)I have seen.... super THX ......
ОтветитьIt’s never a good idea to incorporate stairs and kitchen counter. But other than that. Nice design
ОтветитьThe bathroom looks very terrible
ОтветитьI like the esthetic and color of the wood. But people in Japan would be horrified by a few things. Shoes in the house/on the counter. Visible bed next to stove with sheer curtains. Cold floor to sit on - they use tatami mats for a reason. Not good for chi and quite impractical.
ОтветитьGreat design for people who have two white t-shirts and no other clothes.
ОтветитьThis is really awful, what a terrible design.
Ответитьwhy shoes ;( :(
ОтветитьSimply perfect !.
ОтветитьUsually NTS showcases houses that have been massively improved. Every aspect of this house seems to prefer uniqueness over actually being an improvement. I thought that the seating area was a joke. On a small scale everything looks good, just that the bigger picture is really bad. Things like how the fridge is integrated feels really low effort, that anything not immediately in view is disregarded as being unimportant
This is the first of the houses I've seen be featured that I dislike, and I hate it. I can only hope that the aspects that I hate because they are non-standard are exactly why the client loves it because it can't be found anywhere else. They're going to have a problem selling this apartment when they move on
Wearing shoes inside a japanese style house?
ОтветитьAmazing design!
Ответить🤍🧡🤍🧡🤍🧡
ОтветитьLooks interesting, but the most impractical apartment I've ever seen... But if you like sitting on the floor, having a mini fridge like in a hotel room, going through a hole behind it to access the storage, and looking your bedroom while washing the dishes...
ОтветитьI can’t focus on anything except the fact that he is wearing shoes in the house!
ОтветитьAbsolutely stunning. Those that comment on the sitting space near the tv. Japanese in general are very used to the simple and clear spaces, and they don't need all the cushioning we westerners are used to. For me everything so tastefully done and unique.
ОтветитьVery pretty, but super weird!
ОтветитьIt is smashing, I love it 🤩👍
ОтветитьGranted, the storage behind the kitchen is not an easy solution, but the result is the stuff of dreams
ОтветитьMusic reference? Beautiful.
ОтветитьTerrible. This is definitely not Japanese design. Also, tatami is made of straw, not hardwood. It would be ridiculously uncomfortable to watch tv on a hardwood floor. Disfunctional space.
ОтветитьFantastyczne harmonijne i oryginalne
Ответить“Reconnecting w nature” … uses fake plants!!!! I think the space is very inventive, and I appreciate the design. I just wish they’d thought of another solution other than fake plants :(
