I gotta tell you: coming from a guy who loves two women making out and having sex, there was something more about this movie: Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams definitely had great chemistry. Most lesbian movies I feel like they force it on the male viewer to get his thing riled up and when I see some of those scenes I feel like one of the actresses doesn't want to be in the scene at all and they have no chemistry as a result. This film is totally different as in this scene and the hotel scene, both Rachels had amazing chemistry and actually seemed to enjoy each other. They are both sexy and this is obviously a huge turn on, but I felt like they made this movie more than just a forced upon by nature of two sexy women making love. Two thumbs up! They make a great couple too!

I've watched this movie 4 days ago, and I can't stop thinking about it (I keep listening to 'love song' by the cure) It has touched me deeply, so touching and emotionally intense, cast is superb, especially the two Rachels. Romantic and melancholic love story. And I'm a middle age straight man.

Just listening to Rachel Weisz's voice makes me wet.

I don't think if I'm brave enough to go to see this movie without judgment by others...

This scene is so powerful, realistic, and masterfully portrayed. They made a simple kiss on the hand and mouth, totally gut- wrenching. The love scene in the hotel room is also just beyond mind - blowing. Being gay, I've seen just about every movie that exists with love scenes between 2 women, and this one totally blows the others out of the water. Most of the time, male directors stick to the usual technique they're interested in and don't fully capture the heightened level of desire, intimacy, or complexity. Or the unspoken physical and emotional connection/ communication between the eyes and bodies of 2 women. It's like needing to touch, explore, occupy,or consume every inch of another woman's body, mind, and soul. A very accurate portrayal to say the least.
