How pathetic that in their desperate quest to attract new audiences, the organizers at the Bolshoi find it necessary to throw out centuries of Russian and European high culture and music, and pick a totally irrelevant American pop song to cater to the lowest denominator of potential audiences. Everything has its own place, you want to hear that kind of music, you go to a night club or cabaret. When you go to the Bolshoi, you go to hear highly artistic music. Sorry, but this little ditty ain’t it!

Bolshoi presented with an electronic music may help that more shallow people like it. Its a good strategy. I personally think its a big mistake.
