How To Organize Your Home Files

Hey Nikki, thanks for your video! I really liked your file cabinet. Where can I find something like that? I have been searching, but haven't found one like it.

Can you please do an update to this video including the insides on how you are putting the papers in and what file cabinet/ furniture this is please?

hi nikki, please teach us how to organize the inside of the binders! they don’t teach us this in school and i have boxes full of loose papers!

I was hoping you would show the inside of a binder (obviously block out personal info). Do you hole punch the papers? Are they in clear sleeves? Are there tabs and sections? Are they by date?

I saw your picture in AARP! I was so delighted to see it. I thought "I know her!". 😊 I've been following you for years after I stumbled across your video on how to organize a craft room. That one video started a whole house purge and organization, then a move to a new place, and on to organizing home and life priorities. Thank you for your tips and tricks. After watching your video, I am currently doing this with my tax and other ‘long-term’ file system. So far it is terrific and is an opportunity to really get things cleaned out and organized. Thank-you for this wonderful idea!

I would love a link to the cabinet and binders. I have my files in binders, but I am not a fan of the inserts I am using. They slide all over the place and eveything falls out 😞 help me please

Nikki, oh my... I have papers in boxes and it is so frustrating. Why did I not think of binders? How do you keep the papers in the binders? I do have a hole punch - I think it will be easier than inserting so many files. I wish I could get a cabinet for it, yours is awesome! BUT, this is a start for me. <3

Where can I find that home planner? I’ve looked into all the links in the info box but must have missed it.

Hi Nikki! This was great but I would love to know more about what is inside. I looked for the video that corresponds with the section in your home planner but did not see it. Unfortunately the whole book ( including the sections you went over in the spring) aren't applicable to me because I am the only one in my household. This section in greater detail would be really helpful.

Thanks for the video; I may incorporate the binder system. I have always used tabbed file folders inside of hanging file folders and it worked well for me as an individual. However I recently got married AND I am also managing my parents files and I need a better system! I too would like to see a video one day detailing how to organize the inside of the binder. Perhaps you can create an example just to show us the layout. Thanks again.
