when AI is smart enough to do actual problem solving (which is what software engineers do) then it will also be able to do any other job that has problem solving as the core skill needed

I really enjoyed the sarcasm and dry tone of the video. Up until 2020, I would say coders are the heroes of of all tech oriented professions. This timeline runs parallel to the video game plateau tend, that lead to creating retro games instead, since AAA games became unprofitable and undesirable. In 2023, after asking chat GPT to code for me many times, I have to agree with you.

With Ai ready to change the landscape....the ability to artistically and creatively draw designs which the Ai builds and fills out the details by the input of user specifications will make the product. Software design and electronics engineering and so on...

So whats needed is just the design in the end...the building will be filled in by non human Ai

I agree with you that some languages seem a bit peculiar, and spending three years in college might not be everyone's cup of tea. However, you can totally pick up coding on your own! Personally, I'm aiming to become a web developer, creating and managing my own company.

my dentist once told me after around 10 years of studying that studying dentistry is not worth it and after 8 years of working he hates it , well now after 8 years of work he is getting a lot of money and lives comfortably , my point is this the typical point of view for any one who spent years in the same field, they feel it is not worth it ,

so it is not worth it for you , but for us it does , and we won't always be employees , after sometime we can do our own business .

the field will always be there , but in different ways . it is changing but not dying. so we need to cope with it over time

The main objective of any company to to inxrease profits year after year. And employee cost constitute 50% of total expenses in case of a software company. Reduction in employee expenses means increase in profits.

Trying to figure out what exactly he’s trying to say in this video is equivalent to try solving a multi source bfs problem combined with dfs with a bit of backtracking and dynamic programming put on a heap containing two priority queues.

Hey TechLead, you are 100% right, I love PHP and JS to solve problems and build my projects and when someone comes to me with editing his PHP he is saying I am using codeigniter or laravel! then I am become asking my self ..WHY? why they used the slaves rather than the masters!
