Wow! I'm astonished to see a pro still using Ccleaner. Folks - Ccleaner is spyware/malware. Yes it was trusted. Yes, it used to be a good utility. Then - it went rogue. Wikipedia explains a little bit about it on the Ccleaner article. But really, look up the scandal for yourself. The scandal shook the internet like a nuclear bomb. Under the "new ownership" of Avast - it became weaponized. Avast wrang their hands, made excuses/apologies/blamed others/"bad actors" - but it probably was them - who turned one of the best utilities for computers into malware.
People say "oh but it's ok now" - yeah right. I'll never use it again. Most former-enthusiasts feel the same way.

Hello, I am the guy who needs to get a wifi connection back, after telling windows to "forget" a particular one. Deletion of the wireless adapter didn't work. Windows installed again after reboot, but the wifi I want didn't come back as available.

Wouldnt it mainly be the 4gb and the hdd that is making it slow?
Did you notice a big difference from before and after?
What was the main reason if you did see a difference?

First check the CPU temp & HDD health. Only then check for software stuff. That's any good Technician's basics procedure.
Unfortunately, NONE of the software you run in the vid had anything to do with the Hardware, and so if there was an issue there, you'd completely missed it & the PC would gain nothing from your check & the client would waste her money, because if there was a hardware issue then the PC may be on its way to die & the all the client's files lost.

I have a toshiba P75-A7100 (actually two) and I use it for work and home including games like EvE online. I maxed out the ram to 24G (because I could) and have been running windows 8.1 It was such a good machine I bought a second on ebay and I set them up identically with 24G ram and identical 2TB Toshiba SSDs and 1T secondary drives. I actually configured the first one then cloned the two drives and installed them in the second. This has worked really well and was cheaper than a new PC. Steam has been sending messages that in a couple months they will no long support windows 8. I purchased a CD of windows 10 pro but when I tried to install it said the lap top was not compatible. I went on the Microsuck site and downloaded windows 10 home. ( the hardware won't support 11) The installation worked and I was quite surprised that there is a noticeable increase in speed. Now I just have to go through your videos and see what to turn on or off in windows 10. You have some of the best videos available. Clear and concise so a nimrod like me can follow along. Keep them coming!!!

I just analysed my new pc and says 16% fragmentation. As it's an ssd I'm getting the "lifetime may reduce warning" is it still OK to defragment? Idk if I wanna mess my ssd up if possible this way. Can anyone help please?

I haven't defragged a drive in probably ten years, I literally forgot about it. If someone brings me a pc and says it's slow, I install a dirt cheap SSD to replace it.

Whenever I try to run any game on my pc (ASUS TUF F15) my Wi-Fi option just disappears. Sometimes my Bluetooth shakes hand with the Wi-Fi and plays the same trick on me. The only thing that fixes it is a network reset which demands a restart. I have tried so many online guides and videos, but nothing seems to work. Please tell me if there is something that I can do to fix this issue.

I had a computer instructor who seemed to spend the whole time in class trying to fix the computer and only creating more issues. I concluded that he was teaching me what NOT to do. Definitely not worth the $8,000 they charged me.

With webroot barely taking up any processing power it seems a bit of a waste to remove it if the customer has paid for it. Avast is free but I have found it to not be trustworthy enough to leave on my pc vs a paid webroot AV. That being said. If you are on a tight budget then microsoft defender and avast together will be a good combo.

I have used a few of the programs you mentioned before such as malwarebytes, ccclearer, defraggler etc. However I had never heard of tron and a couple of the other programs you mentioned, so thank you for the information.

I always replace the hard drive with an SSD. I've been doing this for years and it makes a huge difference in performance.

Why do you use additional Defragmentation tool if there are built-in which should run by schedule?
And use virus scan and defragmentation at the same time at the HDD it's not the best idea

I am not a fan of ccleaner, it became very noisy on my phone. I use wise disk cleaner.

I just use Glary Utilities. It has all of this stuff while also being free.
Edit: For the lazy, it has a one-click maintenance. One button and done. It also checks if any programs have updates to them.

Since I haven't run Tron yet, does it have command line switches to disable programs you don't want to run; since one could screw-up an SSD drive?

I have to disagree about uninstalling or installing programs while running defraggler at the same time. I'd say that would be a conflict.
What's your take on that?

maybe this was mentioned in a comment below but was this computer using Hard Disc Drives and not ssd's? because you don't want to defrag a PC with SSD's. I just found your channel today thanks for the info!

There a tool that your can run to cut out 3 or 4 diagnostic tools, called Adware cleaner made Malwarebytes. Also I would to see if had it has SSD if it did not I would upgrade SSD with mirror image from original drive. With the price of SSD and the amount of hours you have to spend working with spinning hard drive. It always come out cheaper on labor and the bill will be lower. Tron would taken 1 or 2 hours to run instead of the 12 hours. The only reason I would keep the spinning drive in that is unit would being converted to Chromebook Flex and drive is less than 5 years old. Different techs do it different way coming up with the same results I like to finish this type of cleanup in less than 2 hours. Microsoft does not change their stance on the qualifications for windows 11 by the year 2025. Microsoft will consider this unit obsolete and unsupported so Chromebook flex will be the only way to keep running after that date, and from the looks of the system, this will be a very good option for that user.

What about Blackbird dude? Whenever my system starts running slow I run it and it speeds up every time. Another FREE program and updated regularly. Removes BIG BROTHER :)

I think Malwarebytes deserves a subscription imho. One of the better ones. I have one lifetime license and multiple subscriptions for that one

I like Revo Uninstaller Pro portable version. Cheap, professional and have not failed me yet. Good to use on stubborn software. Things that love to implement itself in the startup sequence for instance. Free stuff is great, but Revo is awesome 😎
