I bet fans who grew up watching this show and never read any of the comics were surprised when they went to see Sonys Venom movies and wondered why Venom was Eddie Brock instead of Harry Osborn or Flash Thompson like in this show.

The only way I personally would have ever welcomed a 5th season of this show is if they finally introduced Eddie Brock and had him become Toxin like he briefly was in the comics at the time this show was on the air. They more then utterly wore out this Harry Venom change in previous seasons and having him as Anti Venom too was overkill, it would have been boring, lazy and repitive for Harry to become Toxin as well.
