Video game addiction: the difference between a hobby and a disorder

Those that play games for extended periods of time most probably have an addictive personality; where they become obsessed with an activity they perform.

It's not actually the game, it just so happens that a human with a specific personality type chose the game.

If you classify this as an addiction then people who study or play sports for a long time are also addicted to those activities.
