I don't understand ultralight camping, truly excessive weight is one thing but it's got to be easier to become very slightly stronger than to spend so much money and time trying to shave off tiny amounts of equipment weight.

If I'm going to bring a large dog with me on my camping trip, if I don't get them their own little tent, then I'd just put my hammock on the ground and have them sleep on me or I curl up for them.

Research and try sleeping diagonal in a 2person hammock without a sleeping pad. It's the most comfortable I've been outside and it's even good for your back
