I don't think that technique is good. By doing it this way you don't take in consideration the tolerances of the printed object. There's also no keys to align your 2 objects together. It's certainly is a way to do it, but I think there are better ways

Great video and very helpful! I'm a complete noob and struggling with this Shift + Alt to select the opening. When I do this, rather than selecting the edge, it rotates my camera instead. Any help for a complete beginner on what setting I must not have change that everyone else seems be okay with?

Hey there! I've been trying to do this in Beldner for a helmet I want to 3D print, however it doesn't select one half of the helmet after bisecting and doing select loop inner-regions, rather it just selects random parts. I can;t seem to figure it out, maybe you can help?

Ok…. This is amazing. Also I have more issues lol. I have an Ork Copter and I am trying to cut it up to fit on my printer easier.

When I try to select the top portion from the side view of X axis everything above does not get selected for some reason. A part of the blade or a gear in between.

Any ideas? Or a way to add those parts into the selection?

"A" does not select everything, "V" shows "view popup".... come on... why not show where to find these things inn the menus? shortcuts change as versions change... this video is now useless....
