Rick's dead wife being the voice of Rick's spaceship is a play on Majel Barrett's voice being the computer voice for every single Star Trek starting with TNG. Majel Barrett was Gene Roddenberry's wife, she played Nurse Chapel on the original series and Lwaksana Troi on TNG. She allowed her voice to be used--even via AI--as the future computer voice of the series in perpetuity after her death .

I think evil morty had ither plans in the pan and he found an opportunity to act on it when rick prime died. he had no interest in creating the technology but mortys base instinct is to use and hijack Rick's tech and improve it .

Just found out now about Roiland controversy although he was never actually found guilty of anything. Even if true it doesn't surprise with all the content created in the show has to come from crazy. I like that evil Rick said that good Rick would become the same if his wife wasn't killed. If it is true than good Rick is good thanks to the bad Rick. Sort of paradox that without evil version there would be no good version. Also it could imply that bad Rick is not that bad. He just hated himself and decided to create a better version of himself...
