I don't get why reviewers are so into split screen. I've been team android for 11 years. I've had it on like 3 phones. Not 1 single time have I wanted to have 2 apps on 2 inches of screen space. If you're texting, the text covers the other app anyways. If you're comparing things, it's too small anyways. Just moving between the two apps quickly is easier.

I love iOS. Its consistent across all iPhones, unlike Android… inconsistent, ugly and very generic looking. Not to mention the OS updates you get with Apple.

Almost every feature you mentioned for iOS are already present on Android on a custom UI or third-party apps...

In case u are thinking android don't had IOS 16 lock screen . In MIUI 13 u can download a theme known as AP and apply it to the lock screen gives u same IOS-16 lock screen
and that depth effect lock screen is applied u can even change photo to yours to get the depth effect , but u have to give on background removed PNG and one JPEG of the same photo bro . I am using it and it is just

The always-on display for lock screen is only available with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. It is not a true iOS 16 feature. If this was backwards compatible, no matter about the battery drain, I might stick with the iPhone. It should be my choice whether I want to drain my battery with the always-on display. Apple dictates too much of what I can and can't do with my phone. For $1000+, I should be able to make some of these choices myself.

What I like in the Android 13 that they finally meet iOS, and can't play music in formats beyond that iOS has. So, no needs to buy Android phone anymore. iOS can do the same things. Thank you, Google to pushing to the best iPhone.

I still dont know if my next will be an iPhone or pixel 7 (got the 5). I dont like the low frame rate on iphone.

Love your detailed review, best I've seen so far. But I feel like you should have made the comparison between IOS 16 and Samsung's Android 13 based on One UI 4.1 because One UI in past times kinda makes up for some things missing on the stock Android. Those features you said are missing on the stock Android devices have been present on Samsung devices, take for example the messages app, which has a recycle bin since my One UI February 2022 update. Also, the lock screen comes with widgets, clock styles with auto/manual color change, notification content hides, resize, transparency, and to mention AOD features that have all been available on Samsung for at least 3 years!

Google apps can be instaled on iphone but not iPhone apps on Android.. iPhone has the best of both world
