Yes,... Please include your shooting/editing gear packing as well as everything else. Cause from experience.... That takes a LOT of space lol! Thanks!
ОтветитьHi there. Great video, thanks! I’m really curious as to what brand(s) of merino wool you purchased, and what site. I think the quality is different depending upon the retailer. Amazon has some knock off brands, so you have to be careful.
ОтветитьGracias. Chilean Livingston in BC😂 ....CAN YOU please be more specific which sleeping bag Did you use in Torres del Paine. I checked the link but it shows me the whole collection of sleeping bag. Great content!!! Gracias ❤
Ответитьi have had mixed experience with it. I love smartwool socks but I used to get holes in the toes after only a few times wearing them. I started buying only the Smartwool Run Phd and have had better experiences with it. Still, I eventually get holes in the toes but the scocks are very comfortable and I will only buy wool socks now.
ОтветитьI wear a lot of merino for winter in Canada and I have seen some tears after a lot of use but I usually don’t pay full price. I buy the Costco one it is basic but works well.
Ответитьy'all should talk about what brands of merino wool you bought. I've heard what you're saying about some brands, but other brands hold up very well.
ОтветитьThanks for the video! Could you post a link for Nicole's dresses? Heading to Morocco in 2025 or '26 and want to take a couple of dresses for modesty and simplicity.
ОтветитьWhat's your alternative to merino?? Great viewpoint! I tend to agree with you.
I buy my merino at resale shops.
I am so glad that you didn't mention Apple anything. I'm mostly Android/PC.
I love my Soundcore over the ear headphoned, the earbuds look interesting.
Great video!
Love those transitions! Cute!
ОтветитьI just don't like the feel of Merino...
ОтветитьThanks for the thoughtful video
ОтветитьI’m a merino wool fan. So warm and comfortable. Also silk long underwear and an alpaca mid-layer sweater. On our next trip I’m taking a few laundry detergent sheets - much lighter weight and less messy than a bag of powder.
ОтветитьMerino socks are essential for me cos without them my feet stinks. May be there are other options that I'm not aware of :) and nowadays I hand wash my merino cos I have the time :) even tho Icebreaker says you can machine wash them...
ОтветитьPositiv Fun
ОтветитьAwesome, keep up the good work i overpack when I go to Hawaii and the Bahamas. Do you have any videos Tht u recommend for me to watch. i, we'll be also going on Alaskan cruise.and maybe a disney cruise to their castaway Island
Thank you
Snappy transitions 😊
ОтветитьWhat size carry on bags did you use?
ОтветитьMain concern with merino customers is the health benefits that come with them vs synthetic materials. It’s a lot healthier. I’m switching over all my underwear and scarves because those areas are direct locations for chemicals to enter inside the body.
ОтветитьIt must have been incredibly time-consuming to make this video, kudos! Also, it reminded of the worst part of travelling: packing! Yikes.
ОтветитьDress socks are wool or can be made from it.
A suit is made from wool
Underwear
Etc then you got the thicker wool to go in colder climates
90 percent of my clothes are cotton or wool or blend
Merino wool is the best
Shirts
Pants
Socks
Etc
Thin or thick
Spring
Summer
Fall
Winter
It wicks water
Repels bacteria 🦠 and Oder
It can be smooth as silk
Or as itchy as boars hair
It all works
why would you title your video carry-on only and then pack a checked bag?? I watched 35 min out of 39 to find out I won't be getting the info I am here for... pretty misleading
ОтветитьI have the exact same scarf, which i also bought in Nepal 😊
ОтветитьAmazing all the stuff current travelers carry. In the 1970's when I was young I travelled with a small gym duffle bag with 2 extra pairs of underwear, 1 pairs of extra socks, 2 extra cotton T-shirts/shirts, a Jacket appropriate for the weather, a toothbrush, cash and traveler's checks. I wore the same pair of jeans all the time. They were all my regular clothes, not specialty clothes. My shoes were Converse gym shoes, and I also had a mechanical self-winding watch. That's all.
ОтветитьI love Merino wool clothing it's allowed me to travel with only 1 backpack as little as 14L.
ОтветитьStasher is a horrible company. During a crisis we asked them to donate. This shark tank funded brand gave free product to influencers over victims.
ОтветитьI LOVE this Vlog... thank you both... also, I have subscribed. :D
ОтветитьI love Merino Wool but I kind of agree about durability. You also have to be more careful washing and drying it. I had an Endura mountain biking base-layer which was 100% Merino. It didn’t last and after a few washes became uncomfortable. However, when I came to replace it they had a new version which is a Merino/synthetic blend. It seems to have all the benefits of Merino but it is lasting so much better! I thought blends were a cheap alternative, but it seems to merge the benefits of both materials. So my advice is to look for blends instead of 100% Merino for things like t-shirts, underwear and base-layers. I’d still go 100% Merino for something like a heavy weight hoodie, buff or a winter hat.
ОтветитьGood tips. I travel internationally for my job in consulting and only travel with a Rimowa cabin rolling carry on. I only pack:
1. 12 inch work laptop
2. 12 inch macbook personal laptop
3. Power adapter and cables
4. Toiletry kit
And that is it. The total weight is < 5lbs. No backpacks or anything else.
The secret is I buy ALL of my clothes at my destination (3 day rotation that I wash regularly), then mail them back before leaving the destination. If I want to buy anything, I will also mail that back home. I consider it a convenience tax for traveling lightly and stress free.
That's good that you mentioned the mailing part. The most seasoned travelers you can find at the post office because they are shipping the weight back home so that they can continue to travel lightly on the road.
How do you secure your bags against theft? With all those zippers, it's so easy for someone to reach in and grab stuff. We've had theft even with a secured bag.
ОтветитьI get your comments on Merino, however, the synthetics leave many 'forever' chemicals in and on your body. Quality really matters with Merino. I have IceBreaker items for years and I wear them a lot. I love the thermoregulation as I get hot and cold. Right now there is a lot of 'merino junk' out there because it's trendy so, I'd only buy from a company that specializes in Merino and has for years.
ОтветитьI have to agree about Marino Wool being overrated. They're just to fragile for how expensive they are. They certainly have some worthy use cases, love how light the material is.
ОтветитьYou’re absolutely right. Merino wool sucks!
Synthetics (nylon, polyester, spandex) are better. They’re less expensive, more durable and fast drying. I’ve traveled to Europe and Asia with synthetic shirts, socks and underwear. Synthetics are great!
How do you pay for your travel?
ОтветитьMerino sucks lol
ОтветитьSome people will hate me probably, but I think Polyester+Nylon (a bit oversized) or cotton are great for versatility clothing
I know it takes longer to decompose, but my personal collection of clothes is very minimal. Polyester+nylon will last me a longggg time and I can probably past down to other people as well. Nylon+polyester probably will look new still after 20 years. I think it’a awesome.
but I live in south east asia so it’s mostly humid all day long. I’ve never wore polyester + nylon in snow tho
Can you give the name of the laundry bucket? The link is no longer active. Thanks
ОтветитьDoes that 55 liter backpack really fit in the overhead carry on bin
ОтветитьI know you posted this video 1+ years ago, but can you please direct me to the brand/website of the puffer jacket and rain jacket. Thank you in advance!
ОтветитьWay better than Ashley Weston’s advice
ОтветитьI really like some of the things you mentioned that I haven’t heard of before your video. Do you have the list with where to acquire them? Thanks 😊
ОтветитьLove this video. One way to improve it in the future is to not hold black/dark items infront of your black/dark shirt.
