It’s funny when they talk about pot in the first season, since it’s legal in New Mexico now anyways

As a former user my skin crawled off my body when Jesse tossed all that meth out. I’d be searching the desert floor like a god damn archeologist.

I swear to god when I say it: Tuco was absolute eye candy since the moment he appeared on screen for the first time. He is pure villain/antagonist material and every scene he has he just goes absolutely wild from full autoing the shit out of a random cow with an m4a1 and saying I FUCKING DESTROYED HIM!! To beating the shit out of his lackey just for annoying him. Like legit I was just as dumbstruck as Jesse and Walt when I saw that for the first time. With or without the context from Saul it is still an astonishing scene nonetheless. I always laugh my ass off at every scene of him bc he's just that damn wild to the point of absolute comedy and I also get a chill down my spine bc he is also intimidating at the same time. It is such a good balance and all of this makes his firefight with Hank even more impactful. Truly an intimidating villain is already introduced in THE FIRST SEASON!! Man this is what media needs more of. Good villains make EVERYTHING

I think you were a little hard on (heh) Walt's sex life with the disinterested "handy J." I mean she was pregnant, that must mean they still had their moments. Probably not outside of high schools, but something.

The thing I will always love the most is no matter how sad and serious the show can get there are always hilarious little scenes that are way funnier than they should be. Like Jesse dropping Emilio down the stairs and just facepalming or Hank just devouring all the snacks when Skyler is talking her heart out while everyone is listening.

Early seasons everyone except Marie: Walt please get treatment. We love you. Marie: It's his choice
Final season: everyone except Hank: Man I hope Walt just dies already. Hank: Death is too good for him.

I feel like the moment walt became heisenburg was blowing up tuco. Mfer walked into a drug compound with armed guards with his only weapon being impact sensitive, shock sensitive, heat sensitive, primary explosive

I really love the second episode of the show. It really shows how strong the chemistry is between Walter and Jesse, which is part of why they rewrote the show to keep Jesse alive in the first place

Dexter and breaking bad are some of the few shows that were able to actually create a personal connection between the cops hunting our protag killer

I appreciate that it's hard to tier episodes of such a high quality show, I have some criticisms, but please take these in the spirit I intended, as I did really enjoy watching this.

I feel like you're too liberal with As an Ss: while I get your point that the quality of BB and BCS is so high, that D implies the episode is bad when no episodes are bad, but I think you should just acknowledge that at the beginning and drop the D rank, and add a A- and B- tier. I agree with you that the Krazy-8 arc conclusion was so good at it drew me into the show too, episodes like Ozymandias, Full Measure are at least one tier, maybe even two, above the episodes you have in S. Because you put the pilot in A, it lead you to compare it and put any better episodes in S, whereas the pilot is a 6.5/10 episode, and no differentiation between a 7/10 and a 10/10.

the fact that you didnt put the scene where amelios body parts fall through the ceiling in S or A is criminal. that was the scene that made me fall in love with the show and is one of my favorite scenes in any show ever.

I still think about the fact that Walter would just carelessly toss that gas mask, even though throughout the show he's built himself the reputation of being careful not to leave anything that could traced to him.

i truly believe that if skyler hadn’t freaked out about weed then people would’ve been more conflicted about her character

The scene of Walter burning the man's car could also be seen as Walter's petty way to show how he wants the power, power of choice, power of providing, but he don't have anything, while the man have have it, although it's petty it makes sense for Walter's character and helps as a setup for the scene where he denies the help from Eliot

While the conversations and dynamics in this show are definitely realistic and that's why alot of people like it so much, it's funny how you can tell that they couldn't make them too realistic or else it wouldn't be nearly as interesting. Like with Walt turning down Gray Matter

Watching the show for the first time RN (done up to around halfway through season 2), already thought the show was great in season 1 so hearing it gets better after every season is insane to me
Also nice to know I wasn't the only one to be a big fan of Grey Matter, it's in my top 3 for the season with the pilot and Crazy Handful of Nothin
