Did you have to change the power supply to get it to work?

I have the Lenovo m91p (Type 4524) and learned the hard way that it is limited to a very restricted list of GPUs accepted by this motherboard. Is this model in your video presentation?

Normally, the m91p only accepts the following cards (and their equivalent substitutes):

* NVDIA GeForce 310 512MB DDR3
* Radeon HD5450 512MB DDR3
* Radeon HD6450 512MB DDR3

However, you say the GT-1030 2GB DDR5 works. I'm glad to learn that. Also, you confirm that it is possible to upgrade the PSU to more than 280W. Which I failed to do in my case.

I had a Radeon HD5450 512MB DDR3, which sadly died last summer, but worked fine on this Lenovo.
I made the mistake of buying its upgraded version (brand new, unused), the "Radeon HD5450 2gb DDR3", but the motherboard categorically refuses to recognize it, even after updating the BIOS. Windows 10 boots, but I have to reconnect the VGA to the IGC because the monitor stay black.

The 2GB HD5450 works fine on my other PCs though, and even on a PC older than my Lenovo. Lenovo's PSU is 280W, but I tested the GPU and 280W-PSU both together on another motherboard and there are no issues.

Do you know what to do to make it work? Otherwise, I'll fall back on the option of buying a GT-1030 2 GB DDR5 as you did. 🙂

Have a nice day and take care !
