i will make my spagetti under the floor
ОтветитьI could barely play this game in update 7 had a huge save but with update 8 games unplayable time to move on sadly great game
ОтветитьSTOP TELLING PEOPLE HOW TO PLAY THE GAME!
ОтветитьVehemently disagree with your most basic premise here which is that you shouldn't build at ground level. The thing I care the MOST about being efficient with is my time. Building on the ground is faster.
This design is cool and there are times when I certainly build stuff above or below the machines, but generally speaking I find the most efficient plan to be throwing the belts and pipes at or near ground level and simply make the factory walkable by adding walkways.
Meanwhile i place floating Stuff xD
ОтветитьI like putting things on the floor and using catwalks to get around. This is more common in real factories anyway. It’s easier to create pathways for people around equipment than it is to build architecture and pathways for huge, mega tonnage of equipment.
In the real world you usually only put things below ground or high up if you need to for better function or safety (of equipment and/or personnel). It’s expensive to do so, therefore you really need a good reason other than “I like to see the floor.”
Obviously it’s a game AND playing it in many different ways is one of the great things about it. I’ve built overhead and kept the ground floor clear. I’ve built in “the basement” and kept upper floors clear. And I’ve done various other ways. It’s all fun.
Thanks for the video.
Honestly, the biggest issue I have is that Stackable supports (belts and pipes) do not attach to normal supports at all. So if you build one belt the normal way, then go "oh crap, I need multiple belts here", you have to rip out the entire existing belt line and manually place Stackable ones. On top of that, you can't use Stackable as the default when extending a normal line, it only ever places normal ones... so you have to pre-place towers of Stackable supports (using the original single belt as a "okay, what isn't too long between segments" guide) and then go back and put the belts/pipes in after the fact...
ОтветитьNOOOO Never i love my Chaos if its not insane im not happy
ОтветитьThis guy just stole my eyeballs.
ОтветитьBut what about my perfect spaghetti?
My factory won't be the same without it.
You build your lines and pipes inside the workplace. Like a barbarian would do. Civilized people will have a logistics floors for that, keeping the workplace clean.
[ j/k you make some awesome stuff, love your videos :) ]
I absolutely hate the building in this game, if youre trying to build ANYTHING outside a random box form, youll have to spend 3 hours watching "tips and trix" videos to somehow use glitches and existing bugs to get that one wall to snap onto where you want,, and the devs went " ye.. its supposed to be like that... kinda" fuck em
ОтветитьI built my logistics floor from the top down for sake of being able to walk underneath it, though it often required temporary top-down access.
ОтветитьMy hoverpack never comes off anyway, so the floor belongs to the logistics lol.
ОтветитьI cannot do some weird janky shit like this, my imagination doesn't go through the roof when it comes to concrete stuff
ОтветитьPlanning is important but not every one has time and by putting everything on the ground means I can make cool bringers
ОтветитьYou need to get the MICRO MANAGE mod, it will change your life. It doesn't add any parts to the game so if it is ever disabled or you remove it, it will not affect anything placed in the world. What it does is allow you to actually place parts where you want them. No more need for all the tricks to make a piece move, align, rotate, the way you want it to using other temporary parts to build off of only to delete them afterwards. Just place the part near where you want it, shift click to highlight it, right click to open the interface, then you can move up/down, left/right, forward/back, even rotate on all axis if needed.
ОтветитьYeah, how dare you play the way you want to!
(refering to the title and placing belts n pipes on the ground)
Bloody Brilliant.
ОтветитьIf only the save time would be less. I find myself trying to keep my build simple because I don't want my save time to keep growing so much. The more complexity your builds have the more time it takes whenever you have to save the game.
ОтветитьJust build your walkways so high you never have to touch grass. 😃
Ответитьthat looks niiiiiiiiiiice!
ОтветитьWhy not just not build belts and pipes where you move around
ОтветитьJust bought this game on steam. Your builds are pure esthetic satisfaction! My internal perfectionist just got burst in tears of joy while viewing this!
ОтветитьThanks for this, Blueprints might take a while to plan, but the benefits are amazing, coupled with the 'nudge' feature 😉
ОтветитьVery cool
ОтветитьBlueprints clearly where one of the best addition to the game. So much useful things that become trivial and easy to beautify.
