It sounds like something myself and other grognards would enjoy, but DC20 seems like it's probably too much crunch for the modern D&D player.
ОтветитьI feel this. I've been learning Cyberpunk Red, getting ready to run my first game
ОтветитьMight be that I only noticed now, but your camera quality seems better somehow this video. Not like it was bad or anything, but I really like it now. Nice!
ОтветитьYou know World without numbers is a thing
ОтветитьNot gonna lie, DC20 is looking good. It's been on my radar for a few months now. I love the magic point system that just makes all the spells grow from your cantrips (ie you have Produce Flame and can spend points to boost its range, add more bolts, or give it an AoE).
Also: Pathfinder 2e has crits on +-10 from the DC and their crits HURT. You can also crit save/fail on saving throws and skill checks. Idk what this video is talking about.
I went Fantasy Hero in the '90s and never looked back
Ответить<sighs in Fate core>
ОтветитьI have been wanting to play City of Mist for quite a while but haven't much luck. I like how versatile character creation is and creating abilities.
ОтветитьI am happy that this system is getting recognition by such big DnD channel. We discovered it with my group and we want to try it as well so I hope we will like it because we want to switch from DnD as well
ОтветитьSomeone made a fanmade ttrpg based on the horror game series "fear and hunger" and it honestly looks pretty fun even if it seems really challenging.
ОтветитьAs a player who left DnD behind when 4E came out I have to say Pathfinder and D20 were great options although I'm kinda sad you didn't mention Savage Worlds it's a great system simple to pick up but challenging to play and the worlds where you can play are so interesting.
ОтветитьPathfinder has critical sucess and fail now.
ОтветитьMight I suggest Wrath and Glory? Or Maid RPG?
ОтветитьCurrently playing 2 5e games and about to start Pathfinder 1e and Changeling: The Lost (Vampire the Masquerade universe) having just wrapped Blades in the Dark.
ОтветитьRace: Rock Gnome
Patron: The Fiend
Cantrips: Control Flames, Eldtrich Blast, Guidance, Mage Hand Shape Water, True Strike
Eldritch Invocations: Beguiling Influence, Book of Ancient Secrets (Rituals Identify and Find Familiar) and Mire of Mind
Spells: False Life, Blindness/Deafness, Comprehend Languages, Fire Ball, Hellish Rebuke, Mirror Images, Magic Circle
So I’m a level 5 Warlock and these are the spells and abilities I also have a +6 bonus in all investigation arcana and history rolls +5 bonus in perception and deception and a +3 bonus in survival
What I want to know is what would you rate my buildup on a scale from 1 to 10 and if I were to add a subclass to my warlock what should it be
Genuinely I cannot stress this enough, there should be more people playing Pathfinder. It's literally D&D but more customizable in every sense of the word. The rules are there and actually are helpful, clear and concise (Most of the time from what I understand). Not only that, but the builds are endless. I went from playing a Vampire (Dedication) and Investigator (Class) which is really fun. Right now I'm playing a Fighter who is a doctor on the side. Both are Kitsune, but holy crap is it fun. Encounters are a lot more balanced, there's a wide variety of weapon choices and your party composition doesn't even have to include a Cleric because anyone and everyone can be a healer no matter the class they pick.
ОтветитьROFL I loved this, keep up the great work
ОтветитьPalladium Rifts. Not the Savage Worlds version.
ОтветитьWhy does no one like White Wolf? No one will play vampires or mage the mathening with me 😭
ОтветитьI hope someone turns DC20 into Persona 5 somehow
ОтветитьYou missed Savage Worlds, which even has a Pathfinder license. While it doesn't have a perpetually scaling advantage for good rolls, your attacks do get a bump if they are 4 points or over the to-hit, and damage dice can explode, making it at least technically possible for even a simple goblin with a dagger to still be dangerous during high level play. Since it works off a die-type system, it's not "D&D but not" as the guy is demanding, but I still enjoy it.
ОтветитьOr just play Lancer...?
Ответить2023 was the year I was FINALLY able to get my group to try Pathfinder 1e.
ОтветитьIs this video sponsored by DC20? It sure feels like it
ОтветитьBut i liked spell jammer me and my friends had a blast with it
Ответитьwhat was that game that was like a child between pathfinder and dnd? kinda wana look at it
ОтветитьHonestly, any actual DM who's D&D players want to play something else would JUMP at the chance to make them play something weird. "Oh, you're finally asking me to run a different game? Great. We've got everything you could possibly want. Cyberpunk in magical and non-magical flavours, we've got Delta Green if you want to be military types, maybe something from World of Darkness if you want a more narrative focus, have I told you about 7th Sea so we can do pirate shenanigans? Legend of the Five Rings, Nechronica, Skyfarer, FATE, I don't care, just don't make me run D&D again, pick any or all of these!"
Ответитьone of these days someone will talk about shadow run of cyberpunk.
Ответитьuuuhm, acthually, pathinder also uses 4 action system, 3 base actions and 1 reaction 🤓🤓🤓
ОтветитьLol 😂
Ответить"I'm a christian Harold!"
Ahhhhhhh....that's why he's making no sense.
And before someone gets on my ass about this, I spent a great amount of my youth heavily involved in my church. Youth Leader, lead the service once a month, did children's time, and was the youth representative to the pastor parish committee (it was responsible for selecting new pastors and such). I paid my dues, figuratively AND literally. I'll bust this card out as much as I like, cause as one of them I was as identically insufferable as everyone else that went there and could see things from the top down.
"I'M A CHRISTIAN HAROLD!"
same man, same
Role master is a great system that use a d100 system. It's very brutal but so very rewarding
ОтветитьDuck I tried / kinda switched. I started playing Lex Arcana (which is fantastic btw) and a little bit pathfinder 2e still learning all the rules. So instead of learning all those rules I instead started playing the dark soul 5e conversion aka 5e but only one race.
ОтветитьDCC is the best. try it!
ОтветитьPathfinder 1e for life
ОтветитьI love D&D and how wild my old campaign could get. My friend turned into a tree to keep the final boss banished.
ОтветитьI can’t stop watching this, it’s so good
ОтветитьMan, Just play pathfinder, it's D&D, but's better
ОтветитьPathfinder 2e has a similar system, +10 over the DC is a crit success and -10 is a crit fail. But otherwise this is really cool and I want to try DC20!
ОтветитьThis is my Bolter this is my gun😎
This is my Plasma I rolled a 1 💀
Pirate borg it's got pirates and based of mork borg what more could you want?
ОтветитьWhile I do mainly play d&d, another ttrpg i reccomend is Genesys. It focuses more narrative with it's dice, instead of just rolling a numbered die trying to beat another number you instead roll multiple dice with symbols on them(the amount and quality depend on your stats and skills) and then rolling a number of difficultly dice with them(the number and quality depending on the difficulty of the task), compare how many successes/failures there are and go from there. There are even advantage/threat symbols that can affect the players/environment regardless if you succeed or fail the test. So you can miss a target but give yourself a bonus to your next attack roll, or succeed in hacking a security system but set off the alarms as you do it. This leads to a lot more improve and engagment from both dm and the players. Highly recommend checking it out at least once.
ОтветитьAs a (primarily) Savage Worlds player I'm not personally affected, but I get how bad it is when the owner of some IP you like just can't stop fucking up.
ОтветитьPlay Lamentation of the Flame Princess.
It's very similar, you just die as easily as Call of Cthulhu.
Or our group will just continue playing D20 like we have for 20 years.
ОтветитьWhat about the cypher system that is an rpg that has players play only a d20 and the gm set difficulty lv without the use of dice.
ОтветитьAh, yes, me trying to help ttrpg frens, just with less complaints like mathfinder (though really, pf1e is a lot of math stuff)
Ответить
