I’d say it’s the least they could do when you bear in mind that of the millions of animal slaughtered by humans
Ответитьinteresting video showing both sides of the argument, I have to agree with the museum scientist, money can be better spent, and using dna to bring back an extinct animal will be more successful on small animals
ОтветитьI won't stop believing the tasmanian tiger is extinct until it's announced with a picture that's it's back
ОтветитьMaybe the surviving individuals were the most timid and furtive who avoided humans like the plague - because that is exactly what humans are.
Ответитьsaddest tragic story that we all watched such a majestic beautiful animal left unappreciated by man kind. we owe it to them for letting them all down . all animals deserve protection.
ОтветитьAustralia is from another planet.
ОтветитьIt’s becoming a big foot thing.
ОтветитьI think it would be more likely that people will buy them as exotic pets
ОтветитьIt will be interesting to see how technologies like Colossal Biosciences genetic resurrection is paired with Neurolink's Brain Computer Interface... Say you create a few Tasmanian Tigers, maybe give 5% to 10% Neura-link chips to diagnose health issues and to see what they are encountering in the wild... What are the animals eating? What habitat are they living in? How are the animals conflicting with humans?
Ответитьbritish should to blame.
Ответитьno pics, no videos (exsept foxes with mange)- only fantasy tales. only option is cloning.
Ответитьprivate companies should never EVER be allowed to mess with the natural order of things. There should be a 99.9% of scientific consensus world wide if there is to be a change as big as BRINGING AN EXCTING SPECIES BACK through CLONING
ОтветитьBack in 2001 my wife and I took the kids on a trip to Tasmania. While on the road between Strahan and Queenstown on the west coast, both my wife and I clearly saw a large dog like animal come out of the bush, cross the road and, with one leap, climb up the embankment (at least 2 - 2.5 metres high) on the other side. Unfortunately, it was too far away & too quick to get a detailed look but, the animal in question was too big to be a feral cat or dog. Until my dying day, I'm convinced that what we saw was a Thylacine. True story.
ОтветитьThis animal was already heading towards extinction. While the arrival of europeans are a factor, the natives had been hunting and killing them for centuries so it is very disengenous to lay the blame at the feet of the whites, because you know, white people are to blame for all the worlds misery as you live in and enjoy the benefit of the world the white man has created. Go live in a country run by non whites, Like mogadishu or the gaza strip. I wish you all the luck you will need.
ОтветитьReal life jurassic park
Ответить“Welcome to Thylacine Park“
ОтветитьWhy not try to see if there are out there and Clone them if u can
ОтветитьYea a rat won’t become a tiger sorry
ОтветитьThere were some very good points that aren’t discussed often.
1. Releasing a Thylacine into the wild won’t happen anytime soon. While they’re working on resurrecting one, the Tasmanian forests are continuing to be cut down and by the time they’ve made a Thylacine there may not even be a suitable environment to release it to.
2. There are many more extinct species that are more feasible to try to bring back, the issue simply being that they aren’t well-known to the public and thus are less likely to draw in funding.
I love the Thylacine just as much as the next advocate, if not more. But there seems to be a theme here where we aren’t prioritizing what we STILL have and we’re just wanting what we don’t have. Like they said, not only are habitats dwindling, but also roads serve as significant threats, and currently endangered species are very much not in need of a new predator.
While I’m excited about the possibility of seeing a Thylacine(?) one day, I’d have to agree with the biologists that our priorities and funding are probably not in the right place in the current stage
There is no need for this. A close relative (the quoll) was captured alive today in a chicken coop. The thylacine is likely also still alive but even if not, until today's events we never could have ended up with anything truly close to a thylacine.
ОтветитьSo why cant they create a new ecosystem for the tasmanian tiger. Take them to somewhere else with mammoths maybe. But it would make sense if you introduced them to a similar environment and a better ecosystem. Although i see the complications due to humans. But theres no need to disregard this idea. We have a such a goal for this project but this project is about DNA its self. And DNA has its own goals
ОтветитьBring back the Dodo also
Ответитьimplement a law against hunter who is killing this species, deploy jungle army
ОтветитьOr….what about a T-Rex? That should help reduce so many unwanted invasive species………and, you know, the most invasive species of all—we humans. If that doesn’t work, let’s try a Neanderthal or two. I mean, a Tasmanian Tiger? Where’s your creativity?
ОтветитьHey. What about Frankenstein? We can do it! Find a cadaver that hasn’t been messed up too badly. A few organ transplants, an electrical shock or two to restart the brain and the heart—or a heart pump, grow a few needed body parts from embryonic stem cells and bingo. Think of how much better off we’ll all be. Put Anthony Fauci in charge, he’s unemployed.
ОтветитьBring back Dodo birds for Taz tigers to eat.
ОтветитьOut of all creatures we could bring back why has the tasmanian tiger become the most popular
ОтветитьIs it possible?
ОтветитьWhile people are still dying from cancer, let’s first, bring back this animal species.
ОтветитьI think it would be better to introduce either a small fixed population of mountain lions aka pumas... or go big get anacondas, tigers, lions, polar bears, jaguars after all Australia has a great track record of introducing foreign species! How much worse can it get... screw it turn Australia in to a big zoo noahs ark introduce everything... rename Australia worlds safari charge for hunting and tours... sell odd animal meat to the Chinese! Australia would be booming!
ОтветитьThey were going to wipe us out aswell but Queen Victoria stepped in.
ОтветитьThey could get it done in less than 10 years. But they won't get it done because the funding is part of their income. They are getting paid well for 10 years. It's like road construction. They can get the job done quicker, but they stretch it out so they get paid more.
ОтветитьIf the by products of the british empire (aussies) can actually bring back the thylacine, would be astounding.
ОтветитьThat last coment should have been,,,,scientists dont know anything....endangered animals have llwarbed to stayvoway from the british all over the world...like bigfoot..you think they would let it live if tgey foubd one??? Tazmanian tiger is outthere wwre it belongs..stop looking for it leave it alone..stop pretending yoy wanna protect it....
ОтветитьI never seen so many retarded inbreeds in tasmanian bar.
what's sick to my stomach is it's not enough they wiped them from the face of the planet but to lie that they. seen them..has the people of tasmania no shame,decency..that you would sell the tyhacine merchandise ..it sick beyond sick
you cause their extinction and you wont admit it...can you at lease tell me why..please dont say because I seen then..I wont believe you
We know that when the CIA is involve something, It's gonna be serious right!?
ОтветитьIf you see a thylacine as you wake up, that's called having a hypnopompic hallucination possibly. Not a black and white question of being right or lying.
ОтветитьI really hope that we can bring the Tasmanian Tiger back. Just like the Southern White Rhino.🙏
Ответитьa dog with stripes
Ответитьstupid documentary, highly speculative.
Ответить"But it was raining so couldn't find foot prints? What? That is the perfect opportunity to have found foot prints.
ОтветитьAs a biochemist, this project will be the second death of the Thylacine.
According to serious witnesses there are still a number of Thylacine in the wild. As there is not enough DNA from the embryo sample, it’s gonna be cobbled (CRISPR-Cas9) together from the base of other foreign DNAs (DNA's mouse+ cloning with a Dasyuridae)
When released into the wild, this GMO lab-made Thylacine will genetically contaminate the genuine Thylacines when released in the nature. Permanently.
This "scientific" damage has already been done in other species such as wild boars in the 70s, GMO corn & wheat.
A nightmare.
Bring it back! It’s just fare since we decimated it to save sheep and cattle! The meat industry massacred this beautiful natural predator and if we can bring it back using advanced science we should! Some these government people seem to be more interested in protecting sheep! This is called human greed! Just for the money!
We must repair the Tasmanian tiger genocide. They were here before us.
Bring back the tiger, mates, and this time look after them. Give the people some inspiration. Life begets life.
ОтветитьBring it back!!!
Ответитьbro maybe just maybe there was two thylacines in the nature one male and female respectively, they captured the male one and they died without getting the chance to mate🥲
Ответитьthylacine meanwhile in the heavens:
not all humans are bad afterall
this is so sad, what a beautiful animal/
ОтветитьThis is a bad idea all the way around. Let's say that there are a few thylacine still in existence, and they mate with these new creations, the thylacine genepool will become contaminated. Will these new organisms be able to mate, or will they be sterile? If they can mate, who is to say what type of offspring they will have. Also, what if they do not act at all like a thylacine. What if they eat everything in sight? What if they are hunters that kill for amusement? Too many unanswered questions, too much risk. This is a totally unnecessary exercise.
