Anyone know if if I made a bad purchase ? 2019 Hyundai sonota SE

I had a 2016 sonata and the engine failed/ rod issue. Thankfully Hyundai covered it at their own cost even after ownership changes/ mileage/ years over warranty. This is why I am buying the new sonata once again.

I bought a hyundai sonata 2023 hybrid limited and i absolutely love this car. Full Fuel tank can get u 550-570 ml. Love the features that this car have. Like huge panoramic roof front seat ac and heat which i often use. This car can jump start itself. I don’t know the term for the thing but i shows ur speed on the windshield so that u don’t need to look down. It has curtains for the passengers in the back and i think all the cars should have it. Wireless charger for ur phone and AirPods. 360 cameras and all the futures that were shown in the video. I only don’t like that u cant bind ios for the phone key thing u can do it with android only. This is the only things that i could remember now but there was more features. If anybody thinking about the buying one i would definitely recommend it. Before buying i checked almost all the other brands like toyota with their same year new cars. But most of them did not have this comfort features that this car have. That was the reason for buying this car and fun fact about this car that its air dynamics is better than most of the super cars. U can check online for the list.

I got a hundía sonata 2006 with over 230k miles still running great just no A/C as to be expected of a car this old

Ok i came here to be the opposition and i welcome opinions. But please tell me this thread is t praising Hyundai in 2024. I have to say absolutely not to Hyundai and this ains at someone who just traded an Elantra SEL Convenience package. Traded for a Kia Forte GT and i kid you not there is a HUGE difference between the 2 and thats me talking light. Ever thrown up and regretted a vehicle purchase, get a Hyundai Elantra. Terrible plastic composition and build. Horrible sound proofing for highway driving and dont get me started on the abysmal smell of burning oil.
Stepped into a Kia Forte GT with the end game to just give up on both brands....Not a chance in hell. That GT has loud exhaust at speeds mind you...not a flipping sound in cab whatsoever. You couldnt even hear a car pass IMO. Zero plastics squeak and i actually felt like i was driving a car with the price tag. Never stood behind Kia ever. Always been Chevy. But when a brand like that can make me go , "Uh ok, this is thrilling and different!" You've got my ticket

I've been driving Hyundais since 2004. I've never had any issues other than normal wear and tear.

I own a manual 2014 Elantra. So far, so good. Needs a new muffler though. LoL

Scotty, the Intrepid was about the same due to powered rods and laminate bearing which shed their laminations. On the Intrepid the bearing started the "vibration" and did a Uri Geller? and just fell apart. Now, the 2.4L has three sizes of rod bearings A, B and C. on the 2.4L

Owned a Kia since 2012, 2012 Kia forte5 ex to a 2014 Kia forte ex to a
2018 Kia Sportage lx to a 2016 Kia Sedona ex. wife had a Nissan Altima and traded for a 2017 Kia forte. Her forte was totaled in an accident. Now she has a 2019 Kia soul lx. Everyone keeps asking me why I only drive Kia. I tell them I trust their engines. If taking care of they will not need much maintenance. Looking forward to upgrading to a k5. Not sure when that is going to be though.

The old early mid 2000s kias were junk for sure but any of them that are relatively newer are great cars also you have to look for a korean made one they are the best and will definitely last

I've had a 2008 Hyundai Elantra for 16 years. It runs near perfect and has given me minimal problems. Of course I treat it well, regular oil changes etc. No major mechanical problems at all. It has survived one wreck and one break in by vandal/thief pricks. It has 211,000 miles on it and I plan to put at least another 75,000 on it. I think it will make it.

I love the Sonata. I drove from Tampa to Irving, TX. It was a 16-hour drive and I only stopped for gas (2x).
The drive was very comfortable. At no point during the drive did I feel fatigue during the drive--I drove straight through.
I averaged 79mph and got 37mpg.
For the price, there is no other car that offers the same features.
Hyundai did an amazing job.

This is the inconsistent brand. I have had no issues, but I have heard horror stories as well.

lots of comments here criticizing korean cars. most of you guys live in the US which is obviously why you wouldn't perfer owning one of those since less than 10% of their cars are sold there and the 90% is outside the US. so its not popular there which is why you would hate on it. but honestly. for the rest of the world. those two models are at their peak now and doing amazing.

I'm glad to see a video from Scotty praising Hyundai. They aren't what they used to be 20 years ago. I've loved any of my Hyundais I've driven from 2009 onwards. Not sure about older ones but the ones I've driven never let me down.

Im trading my Honda accord 2020 to Kia Sportage EX 2024. I just need SUV. Been debating if I get CRV/RAV4/Sportage. But after doing a lot of research, and considering the budget that I have, I’m going for Sportage.

Why would you buy a KIA or Hyundai??? Get a Honda or Toyota. KIA is crap.

Hyundai brake calipers and tie rods rust so badly, the pads get stuck and the wrench won't fit over the tie rod. Also look at the front subframe: it's done cheaply and with tons of irregular hand welds that rust like crazy after a few years. Endless cars recalled for subframe and brake lines rust. They really use garbage metal on several areas.

Just got kia sportage 2023 and it's amazing

I have owned with my wife 6 Hyundais no trouble with 5. Sixth Tucson lost tranny at 89000 miles 9.5 years and it was replaced. No complaints about Hyundais from us..

We have owned 4 Hyundai/Kias and have never had any issues. Wish i could say the same about the 2019 Honda passport that I bought new.

When I want to laugh, I watch these kinds of videos. I have owned a 2019 Hyundai Accent for 5 years without having one single problem. My wife owns a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, she had it for four years, again without a single problem. People who take care of their cars have far fewer problems than those who run their cars into the ground. Every car company has its lame duck, meaning problem cars. But to just say all Hyundais or Kia's are crap makes no sense to me. Thankfully not everyone pays attention to everything they see and hear on the internet.

Hyundai's biggest market in asia is India and out here they got just one 5🌟 Gnap car in india that too with unstable bodyshell. Hyundai is doing wonders in terms of sales in india but they are providing cheap cars but most of them are benchmark in terms of sales. Hyundai is never able to sell any expensive models here in india like tuscon or elantra or sonata because at that price point people would go for germans or toyota.
Me personally i will never buy a hyundai or kia not worth it.
