How to Install Raspberry Pi on VirtualBox | Raspbian OS

Concise and clear. I can not access the SD card on my host machine and the only USB devices that work are the keyboard and mouse. What have I missed? Thank you.

Can VirtualBox emmulate the ARM CPU of the Raspberry Pi? If I develop applications on this VM image, will they work on the real Pi?
I have the feeling they won't.

This is easy... the problem is that this version of raspberry Pi is not identical to a raspberry Pi installation. Most of the applications can't be installed to this OS because it is i386 instead of amd64. How do we install Raspberry Pi using the Disk Image files from the other operating system choices in virtualbox? I just want to be able to do what I can do with a normally functioning raspberry pi. Instead I am plagued with dependency issues.

Where is 64 bit version now I can't find it was a 32 bit version

I followed the instructions but it got stuck after I press graphical install. It just shows me a black screen and, then, tells me You must specify a machine to start, using the command line.
Usage: VirtualBoxVM --startvm <name|UUID>
Starts the VirtualBox virtual machine with the given name or unique identifier (UUID).

Could anybody help me please?

I keep on getting end kernel panic errors, what could possibly cause this error?
