dang, this was working perfectly, now when I place an image and "mask" it, I don't get those corner circles to pull. in fact the bounding box stays red around my image. Ugh! What happened?

Thanks. Worked a treat. The latest 2018 Illustrator tucks the Mask option in the property tab.

This doesn't seem to work in Illustrator Version 16.0. No dots appear inside the image layer. Is there another way to achieve rounds corner edges?

It doesn't work for me. I place an image, select the mask tool and then the direct selection tool, but the dots(points) don't show. when I drag the corners, the image just resizes. I'm using Illustrator CS5 on windows 10...

What version of Illustrator are you using?
