The "dainty" jewelry trend is getting old right now.

I wear vintage jewelry and get compliments on jewelry that is 60 years or older. I wear what coordinates with my outfit. Remember break all the rules from influencers.

People keep saying they buy luxury for quality, originality and tradition. But really, isn't 90% for the hype and prestige and ego? Not as good as the $200 premium knockoffs H Q D U P S Great quality and price

The double pearl is nice the other drop perl looks nice. I didn't like the long ones they made her ear look bigger and longer.

If it looks good, if you think it looks good on you, and you are a reasonable person in the world, wear it. Don’t listen to what anybody else says.
Think about Madonna for a minute ~ whether you like her or you don’t~ when I was growing up, she was a style icon and she changed the way people did everything, when I was her age everyone wanted to look like her. I don’t want to look like that now, but my point is, be experimental. Cher is another style icon that I love. And I can tell you that she would not wear what someone would tell her to, ever. She takes chances and she does her own thing and she knows what looks good on her. And she is fabulous and provocative. Experiment. No matter what your age is. I like looking hip and elegant at the same time, how do I pull that off? I don’t know that I do, I think I do based on compliments from other people. It’s what makes me feel happy. It’s a combination of growing up with a very glamorous and stylish mother and also growing up in the 80s. So I’m me. Not everybody appreciates it.
My future mother-in-law asked my husband confidentially, if he could tone me down, to which he replied “I think she’s beautiful just the way she is”, yes, I heard it myself…because I was listening on the other phone, sneaking me, but I knew they were to talking about me, needless to say she didn’t like me because I was different or because her son liked me, but whatever it was it doesn’t matter. I’ll say this, be classy, with a little bit of sassy and you’ll always be OK. And sometimes you might need to be a little more sassy or more classy depending on the situation. It’s fun being a girl or a guy, that’s the point of all this, just have fun and be kind. And yeah, sometimes put on all your jewelry and lots of make up and rock it.

There was nothing dainty about Iris Apfel and she was a style icon. Style is being confident enough to not know what's trending for a hot minute.

I saw another u tuber that referred to large bead necklaces as what grandma would wear. I agree, dont wear them but do keep them. They are great for lots of crafting projects!!!

@ANNAREID Come one we don’t keep jewelry in a box! Bracelets goes on the bracelets hanger and necklaces? Well, since I have to many I got a long wood where I put some nice knobs and I hang them by colors. I also do have like a little metal gold tree where I hang on all my rings. So I wear what’s nice on me and with my style. I do not wear what’s trendy or in. NO! If u are in a hurry and u have all your jewelry mix in a box u will find nothing. Better have everything organized.

All of this jewelry is not new to me. I’ve had most of it for as long as it’s been made. I don’t follow the dictates of fashion. If the style looks classic, I wear it.

Pearls are and always will be The fashion. It never goes out. I dont care one bit about fashion because quality jewelry never goes out of fashion. I never wear chunky, plastic , cheap pearls or cheap fake gemstones. Wear what makes you happy. And dont worry about fashion.

I’ve been wearing quality silver jewelry for years now, and I prefer white gold over yellow. I wear pearls with everything I have on and love pretty,unusual designs. I like classic,clean pieces. That never goes out of style.

I wear silver jewelry almost exclusively. Always, since my teenage years in the 90s. I might use gold like, once every two months or so. Just not a traditional, gold jewelry person. I use a few colorful ones with a gold base, but my everyday jewelry is silver. Never gave a second thought to it being not that "in" since the 90s, but I surely noticed a recent spike in people I always saw as "gold jewelry people" wearing silver.

I am always amused at people who watch a fashion video with a title like "What's In and What's Out," and then comment, "Wear whatever you like, regardless of the current trend!" I mean, why bother watching? Personally, I like seeing the current styles so I can pick and choose which items will look good on me! I'm not slavish about it, but I do find it gives me more confidence when I wear something that I know looks fresh and current! ❤

Stop following Fashion Trends ... The purpose is to make you spend. Wear what suits You and makes you happy. Soon tired of theses videos. I briefly watch them to see what they are saying. I saved tones of money since 2005 when I stopped following the trends. I only wear what I love period.

I have always worn mixed metals and pearls. Not a fan of large chunky necklaces, but I do love huge mixed metal or natural stone earrings with my pixie style hair. I can usually tell if a style is going to work for me ASA I try it. I’m also wearing nice things daily, even around my home, as it makes me feel pretty. Hubby appreciates me enjoying jewelry gifts he has purchased for me.

I’m 78 years old and I have always collected jewelry that I think is beautiful. It doesn’t matter what’s in and what’s out. Wear the jewelry that compliments your outfit and makes you feel pretty.

Im sad the 'plastic ' jewellery trend is gone because the internet said so. They were so full of colours, shapes and originality. These days people are wearing mostly golds and silver and it looks less lively. It's more uniform now than during the cutout era.

How about vintage jewelry.

I like to match colors to go with the silver or gold. It's always a challenge
