-In the recent games, apparently there IS a true lock-on function, you have to change it in the options (I had no idea they added this, I barely played World compared to the other games)

Respectfully the default lock on settings in rise are bad. I immediately fixed them to way they were in world

this is a game made for those who wish to see and do different things with different weapons with different button mash combinations to different things.......
such different things are difficult. this game shall now gather some easy dust.

I really love how Monster Hunter iniatily seems like a pretty simple series but then when you look a little closer they are some of the most complex video-games ever made

I remember my first monster hunter game 🤭 boy I hated it! I went through the tutorial, chose my weapon and headed out on my first mission! It took a week of trying to beat the first monster and I mastered using the dual blades while doing so. Then my brother told me it's not supposed to be THAT hard and show me what I'm doing. When I started my mission, I heard him chuckle. It turned out I was doing missions in the multiplayer hub instead of the village that's for single player missions 🤣 (I believe it was mh4 on the switch?)
Things got super easy after that and now I love monster hunter! And I learned that it's best to just take your time to read the tutorial instead of mashing A because you just want to start already! 🤭

I really don’t get how the charge blade is confusing for people, like all you have to do is ZR + A = charge phials, > Hold X and then GGRRRRRRHAHHAHAHHGGGGNNNN for lots of saw blade damage :)

Also I think sword and shield is part slicing and part blunt…look I think not know don’t rage at me in the comments

Honestly, i don't like how they did the bow in this game, it feels weird and its gonna be hard to get used too, i miss the basic combo with it, you could literally go to town against a knocked down monster, it was the best.

Mate for Sword and Shield you forget the most powerful and cool combos. Those following the backhop!

I use every weapon except great swords

nice , missed out on HOW - 'Charge blade , charge the sword' combo, as I end up always doing it accidently.

I like my main's explanation. "You gather the juice, especially the red one, then you just try to stay off of the ground, and button mash." Yep, sounds about right, that's how I play it.

Most weapons you just spam your silkbind skills rise takes a lot of skill compare to the older games it amazes me how much you need to use your brain and thumbs in rise its amazing how technical the developer's where in rise

IG stuff rq
1. You can press ZL while holding ZR to do the marking move easier
2. While Red is best you really do want to get all 3, it gives you Earplugs and Flinch Free when you have all 3

This game menus tutorials and such are such a mess

this is very great. for new players and experienced alike. also props on the vagueness with switchaxe. very true to it's freestyle moveset

So... Just gonna slip in right here... there is in fact a locking camera. Just go into your camera settings and select Focus Camera instead of Target Camera. Hope this helps at least a few people out there.

As a charge blade main, I came here specifically to see him explain switch axe and charge blade

Lock on can be enabled in camera settings so that when you choose a target and you are close enough the camera will auto focus on your target

Look, I'm a hammer main, so anything other than bonk and spin makes no sense to me when hunting.

So you see I’m a “bitch” who wants to hit things hard but also have the availability of moving fast. Just recently picked up the game and decided “hammer is too slow and so is lance” “twin swords don’t do enough dmg” “what is this…charge blade about?” I love the weapon but yep what the fuck you can charge the small sword????

Do not charge up always with Greatsword it’s more of a hit and run weapon
