ОтветитьI’m surprised the screw didn’t split the centre aisles when u screwed it. Isn’t it safer to predrill a hole in that before screwing it in?
Ответитьgot enough sstaples there mate?
Ответитьif you want you painting to be landscape would you put the extra wood the wide side
ОтветитьFinally!!! someone who explained why the need for the bevel and what direction to place the bevelled side!! Thank you !!!!!
ОтветитьGreat video! Why the beveled edge?
ОтветитьGreat tutorial - very professional - thanks
ОтветитьThis may have been asked already, but what is the purpose of beveling the edges?

ОтветитьWorking from one center with three staples, going to the opposite end and stretching that center with three more staples. Now do the same process on each of the sides of the frame. Now start over again with the first side you started and put three more staples. Now go to the opposite side again, stretch and do the same thing. Now do the sides again. Do it all in the same order, working left and right, left and right, back and fort, back and forth as you work each side.
The goal is to force the lack of the canvas into the corners evenly. It helps keep the canvas absolutely the same flat on all areas.
I do like the way he made the frame. It's tough making perfect corners when it's just straight two flat ends connecting together. Good technique. Would be good also to check it with a corner square.
Amazing information just handed out bless you sir..
ОтветитьGreetings from NE Atlanta, Georgia. I'm "considering" painting as my newest hobby and I'm trying to learn as much as possible about canvas and frames before I start. Thanks for a great demo! 😀
ОтветитьSPOT ON! FROM ACROSS THE POND, THIS YANK SAYS; THANK YOU, WELL DONE! ! !
Ответитьj'adore, merci
ОтветитьNicely built. The only thing I do differently is at the corners. I fold the canvas under so that no diagonal layer is visible, also no extra staples on the sides are required.
ОтветитьThis answered all the questions. Thanks.
ОтветитьMagic video
ОтветитьOverkill..
ОтветитьI wish you didn’t smack your mouth after everything you say
ОтветитьAwesome thanks ☺️
ОтветитьThe best I've seen so far!!!
Ответитьwhich length of screws did you use?
ОтветитьGreat tutorial 👌. Question : Which type of canvas you prefer ?
Ответитьas soon as you offset your noggins i knew you were a pro
ОтветитьUsing screws on end grain is not a good option. Screws need to cross grain in order to hold securely. Better to use nails if possible or have inserts in your wood to which screws can grip properly.
ОтветитьGracias
ОтветитьI'm sorry, but it's foolish to drive a screw into any wood without pre-drilling the holes. Then there's zero risk of splitting.
ОтветитьExelente
Muy bien explicado Felicitaciones.
Todo al detalle.
Saludos desde Bogotá Colombia.
thats a whole lot of staples :D
ОтветитьUn travail remarquable et des gestes précis .
Le résultat est tout simplement parfait.
Merci pour cette générosité
Thank you!
ОтветитьBest 20 mins of life 🙏🏾🙏🏾
ОтветитьI have watch many, many, many videos to try and figure out how to do this. This one is by far the best I have seen and answers all the questions I had and explains in detail how and why to do things. Thank you for taking the time do share this information with us.
ОтветитьYeah big thankyou brother. You made it nice a simple and encouraging. I appreciate this video a lot. Going to be stretching my first canvas and many more to follow this year.
Ответитьwhich company do you buy your canvas roles from?
ОтветитьPo da
ОтветитьI usually get my frames made, I'll make one myself for the first time, so this video was very useful. I usually don't use that many staples. Personally I think is so many staples.
ОтветитьCan anyone recommend what kind of wood to use?
ОтветитьLove your pants
Ответитьthank you
great work
very helpful tips you got on...i love the way it's done. very pro. thanks bro!!!
ОтветитьOne of the better videos I have seen on this subject. 5 *** stars.
Ответитьhola cual es la madera de palo 2 x 2 o 2 x 3 o 3 x 4 ?
ОтветитьTip: Spend $60-80 and invest in a small air compressor and framing nail gun, preferably 18 gauge brad nailer, to make the joining process a breeze. I've been making canvases for years and it makes these processes a lot less work.
ОтветитьThank you very much.
Ответитьanyone know where he bought the pneumatic staple gun that uses 1/2 staples?
Ответитьthank you for your through explanation! Helps heaps!
