I think they’re comfortable with the trackpad being the default input method even on desktop
Ответитьapple should try to make a layout option that allows you to return it back to the way it was. I don't like things being huge for a pixel-perfect pointing device.
ОтветитьNow it seems these UI changes were in preparation for the new "spacial computing" in the VisionOS and such
Ответить2023
ОтветитьIt was the first thing I felt when Big Sur was launched, my 15.4 screen had become a 12. Big icons, more separate elements, sub menus, virtual buttons, I even thought at one point my keys were going to vibrate like a smart phone LOL.
I am a photographer and besides the keyboard, trackpad and mouse, I use USB controllers to edit in Lightroom, it is much more intuitive than looking at the panels with the mouse pointer, or using my hands in each function, having a physical potentiometers and sliders with layers and different settings for each of them according to our need, as an audio professional using peripherals like DAW Control Surfaces, or video editors using devices like Tangent Element Panels. I feel it is more comfortable and efficient to use these physical devices interacting with digital ones, than being forced to touch a screen.
I feel that Apple, started to move away from the professional user, when they decided to use USB-C on macbook pro for all input and output peripherals, forcing us to buy hubs and adapters, the touch bar that today in the current versions no longer exists. Professionals want optical inputs, rj45 connectors, thunderbolts, midi if necessary, etc, because serious companies go at a slower pace, when it comes to upgrade hardware, because many things are still working fine and the professional knows it, as you also know when it comes to upgrade they will spend a looot of money.
the Spanish word Sur is South in English
ОтветитьGives me Windows 8 vibes
ОтветитьIt's already 2022 and still no touchscreen Macs!😁
ОтветитьmacOS Big Sur vs Windows Small Ladi
ОтветитьWell this aged like milk
ОтветитьI wish they did something like the Microsoft studio and support Apple Pencil. Would be the dream.
Ответитьstill no touchscreen macs. blabla
ОтветитьAll I want is the iPad cursor on Mac. The iPad cursor is so good and fluid, the old mouse that macs and pcs use is outdated and needs to act similar to the ipad
ОтветитьBecause of Big Sur I sent my mac mini M1 back. It was too old fashioned for me, slow, weird, no real 4k support, hidden menus looking like from the nineties. And overall laggy behaviour compare to a 10th generation Intel NUC with just Windows 10. I always touched the screen‘s icons, when getting hands one rare displayed Macbook here, wondering, it is not touchscreen. Btw: I do know nobody using a Macbook here and never could use imessage on that iphone 😄
ОтветитьHmmm maybe you can use the trackpad instead of a mouse?
ОтветитьI just want a 2 in 1 MacBook pro that folds over and works with an apple pencil. And keep the bright display and high refresh rate
ОтветитьWhy not put out a touchscreen KEYBOARD?
ОтветитьLeider geirrt.
Ответитьdid he just say steve jobs was wrong? this must be the apocalypse
Ответитьnever going to happen
ОтветитьMy dude forgot about the magic trackpad which imitates upto 5 finger touches
ОтветитьYou are right. Touchscreens are coming. The system incription is a sign that iOS and macOS are integrating. But Big Sur is hardly polished. Why folders and System Preferences icons aren't iPhone looking is terrible.
Can I get rid of the screen sharing option in control panel?
Do you know how to change permissions in Big Sur so I can change the icons?
I HATE TOUCHSCREENS! don't ever DARE get fingerprints on my mac >:(
ОтветитьI use Windows, OSX, and Linux computers and own a few touch screen laptops that I never use the touch screen. My Lenovo Yoga is great because it folds into a tablet but I never use it. I use my Mac Book Air a lot and hope they don't throw the touch screen gimmick to my favorite laptop.
ОтветитьLove the presentation and the overall production. Keep it up man.
ОтветитьHe loves his iPad Pro
ОтветитьInteresting how the second half of the video begins to illustrate how stupid Big Dur (not a typo) is.
ОтветитьSitting here in the future on my 2012 15" full spec MBP running Mojave thinking..... hmmmm.
Ответитьnow we have the iPad Pro m1 boi
Ответитьalso magsafe on iMac
ОтветитьI have a touchscreen windows laptop supplied to me from work. I never use the touchscreen - in fact I forget it exists until I need to wipe something off the screen. I don't like fingerprints all over my screen, so that's a hard no from me.
Ответитьsliders where designed for use on a computer. An odd amount of mouse travel? Really?! Increase your DPI lol.
Personally I like the buttons and other input you are complaining about just as much on a computer as on a smart phone.
Here is the thing: What if the iPad Pro gets MacOS support? Like, think they have the same SoC now, then instead of changing iPadOS to fit the needs of professionals.
ОтветитьThe spooky hydrant potentially scatter because asphalt theoretically ban mid a scintillating flax. normal, noisy rifle
ОтветитьI’ve got a few thoughts. One thing (possibly two) I thought App would come out with are a slider to user define how far apart the menu items are spaced.
Another thing is I’ve wondered if Apple would ever come out with menu bars which are 100% end user mappable.
Ipad os will have mac os mode
ОтветитьIts true every day an artist commits suicide, because there is no pen support on mac os
edit: and there is no procreate on mac os
Fun fact: Im one of the ones with a touchscreen windows tablets. Im using a Microsoft Surface Pro 3
ОтветитьAnyone know how to fix “your screen is being observed”?
ОтветитьApple would make the best experience when putting out a touch screen MacBook
ОтветитьThe sliders in the control center are fine so we can have better control when sliding them. If they were shorter you would only have for example no sound or loud sound.
ОтветитьI totally agree with you at many ways
ОтветитьThe question was, "Are Ios and MacOS going to merge?" No. You can make a touchscreen display and use MacOS as the Primary OS. If that was what they were going to do, they might try it on a single mac then expand. Or use an Ipad screen and code it in.
ОтветитьYou’re not getting a touchscreen Mac. I’d pay extra for a non touchscreen, non Touch Bar Mac. And low and behold ….. from the future - no touchscreen laptops because they’re garbage and the touch bar has been jettisoned into the garbage pile because it too is garbage.
Ответитьgood points.
