Having used both powerbi and tableau I would say powerbi with premium licensing is the best it has everything within right from data integration to data engineering machine learning capabilities (through fabric) and easy to use and understand for anyone with excel background

Power BI. Costs less than Tableau per employee and can be used in Office 365 and Azure for most companies.

It sounds way too biased. Fortunately the reality is more and more shifting to the dominance of power BI and Tableau is literally marginalized.

I guess the only advantage power BI has is good visualisation that's it ..

Otherwise QlikSense is much better tool for ETL, Big data and data transformation

I don't think Tableau is that much more powerful than Power BI , you are claiming.
Advanced modeling and analytics : Can be done using DAX.
For ETL : power query and M language are enough.
Third party data connectors : Power BI can connect to 100+ sources including 40+ free of cost.
Smaller datasets : Don't think so. Normally it can handle 10 gb of data but with Azure services it can handle more than tableau.
Power BI is part of a larger ecosystem called Power Apps and Power Automate and now with the launch of Microsoft fabric, it has now advanced capabilities of Data Engineering and warehousing with ChatGPT.
Tableau is just a tool but Power BI is a platform and a strategic Microsoft tool that mingles with other Azure services to provide value to clients via automated workflows and AI

we have use cases where pentillion size data is used in power bi to build model.

In my experience, Power BI really needs MS-SQL Server + Analytics Toolkit. If you don't have that there isn't a lot of difference between Power BI and Power Point.

I think you dont know the capabilities of Power bi dax formula which is powerful enough to fetch complex analysis
