I BEAT Final Fantasy 16...and we NEED to TALK! (PS5) - HONEST Review

Yes I know this video is a week after launch but I wanted to play EVERYTHING to give my full thoughts on such a great game! Thanks for watching!! <3

The very basic of final fantasy game is, theres a Real Party, theres a Mp, theres class/job system and not a single nfsw scene😂😂😂

CID as a character is what FF represents. Great character...even Jill. Entire cast/party is awesome..also do the side quest. Though kinda simple they give good rewards for crafting weapons

I agree on the side quest I completed them all. I loved the bounty board .

So i beat ff16 6 months ago and have had some time to think it over. I gotta say i the square Enix is lost. The game starts strong then its like a mmo in single player game put together. They really need fresh faces at square Enix. People who can make a world that feels alive, or a story that your invested in.

I love this game but my biggest glaring issue with the game is there are some characters CONSISTENTLY who have dialogue that doesn’t line up with their lip movement and it is so immersion breaking it’s annoying. Martha and Joshua (hooded man) are the most notorious of this

I think you are misrepresenting the "it's not final fantasy" thing. What people mean by this is it's not an RPG anymore it's an action game like DMC or the witcher with lite RPG elements.

Character model looks like shit to my personal taste. Those korean-boy-band with angry look looks awful. Also game look really gray and dark.. i am talking about colour pallet .. and gameplay itself looks kinda boring.. Maybe just this guy dont show what is cool inside game..

This has been one of my favourite games I’ve ever played. I only ever really had minor issues and the writing is some of the best of any JRPG I’ve ever played

Im just watching the video because i just got the game and wanted to know your opinion, great video! Also a huge plus for me that you english speaker gamers wont count, but its important, the game is the first FF game with Latinamerican dub voices and has some of the best voice actors in Mexico, and thats saying something!

I tried Steam and EA apps and they dont seem to have it.

Why does it feels so damn easy

While I do really miss the turn based combat and deep RPG character building of 7 and 10 (the only other 2 I've finished) I loved this game. 16 might be my new favorite FF game of all time. I have played a lot of the others, just didn't finish them. 10 has always been my favorite. But 16 might replace it. I'm going to have to play it again to know for sure. I'm just starting my "new game+" campaign so we will see.

I just need to ask something. It's not about the game but it's about your PS5. I know that playing this game on the console heats the system. Can I ask how long you're playing the game in a period if you know what I mean?

16 is not the future of FF. the game is mid.

No matter how amazing FF XVI is I will never like it cuz the main character is called Clive…. and the only Clive I ever knew was the worst 😂

I wanted a fun game and I found this too dark. I don’t want to spend 40 hours wallowing in the darkest aspect of humanity. Marinating in the parts of history that we as a society find shameful.

Love the story, lore, combat and hunts, later on you get some more interesting/rewarding side quests but there still not so well done, but definetly having a blast with this game

This feels like the antithesis of FF to me. It makes sense that i dont like it considering i dont like other bombastic over the top action games like DMC, god of war and bayonetta. I feel like they almost should have called everything after X some other name, a new modern series of games, and continued making turn based rpgs as well. I dont like Clive, hes just your typical edgy serious sad boy protag. I dobt like the action combat, i dont like how its not an rpg, i dont like how there isnt a party system, i dont like the story, and the performance is bad. If it wasnt called FF i would probably like it more, although i wouldnt buy it so yea lol, but its just not what i want from FF.

The whole idea is to bring non FF fans to play a FF game because we all know the traditional FF is not for everyone and for me they have succeeded! If this game was named something else, its a GOTY contender but its association with the FF franchise that affected negatively the overall reception especially from the FF fans. The main issue of this game along the side quests and pacing sometimes is the fake blurry 4K

Im only 2 hours in and in regards to story telling and cutscene its really good. But i hate there is no freedom to do anything. Does that change later on with less cutscenes

It's not that I didn't like the sidequest, they are just ok, but there are way too many that develop basically the same, and the NPC have way too much useless dialog, so many lines to say something they could say in one or two sentences.

For the rest, I love this game, and even without the more extensive RPG elements of the other games, this one actually feels more like what I felt playing the first FF, more simple and "arcade", but it feels like an homage to the adventure side of FF.

Battle was basically DMC
Not really much to explore
Equipment is basically just given to you, and crafting doesn’t really matter lol
Characters were dull, party member isn’t really party members, can’t level them up, no equipments for them, there are just guest party members, and they can’t even take damage.
Story was very predicable.
Movie was too long.
Boss Fights are too long, too much QTE.
Items are meaning less,
Wish they would have gave us hard mode from the get go.

Yes I did like the game, but however I think I just expected too much from this game.

Typical modern FF, utter garbage. All they care about is graphics and effects and to be brutally honest they're really not that good. The combat was incredibly dull and boring.

i just finished the game i loved the side quest and are needed so you can get more powerful hunts and craft more powerful weapons

Ehhhh I’m not into long movies. If they made ff16 the game, I still wouldn’t play it but I’d think about it for a second before I played ff7 for the 30th time.

FF XVI is the better project and more interesting, but still not the Final Fantasy title, the community wants to experience.

I love this Game

The only positive I have about this game is the cinematography.i had to force myself to finish this.the battle mechanics became boring midway through the game. Boss battles were the same each time. There was no challenge to each boss you encountered or mid boss fights.i am also a FF fanatic and i can appreciate what they have done but everything about this game screamed smash and grab.

As someone that has seen the evolution of the FF series as well, this just seems like another step in the wrong direction with the franchise.

nah, the game genuinely sucks.

I played everysidequest and hunt. They are trash. Not a single one is good. Mediocre at best. The weapon and gear system is almost not even there. But the cinematic battles and even the normal combat is insane and Cid, Bahamut and Odin characters are good af. Titan and garuda are hella trash. Honestly the game is top tier in what it does good and trash in everything else making it mid imo. Probably will never pick up again after first playtru.

We await years for these games and have to pay 70 dollars. Bogus side quest like go fetch a cat shouldn't be aloud. Im convinced they just make fetch side quest to add game length. We want fun non reskins of other games. We are almost half way through new gen era and have yet to see very many good games not even one naughty dog game.

this years biggest letdown. Boring from start to finish. If i had not uses $70 for this game, i would have stopped midgame. The sad thing is that it got worse when I got to the ending. Too many cutscenes, no real RPG elements, Boring combat(repetative) - only good thing was the 1st big boss - the last was just the same bosses all over again. Boring - 4/10 game.

I never even thought about that m releasing a mobile / switch demake of this game & have it be 16-bit! That's brilliant & I'd definatley play that again, who knows maybe it'll just be part of the DLC that was recently announced.

This dude is such a stan. He really gave this game almost a perfect score despite it being the most non final fantasy game in mainline series

I'm currently playing this game now and as a Final Fantasy OG fan (played most since 1997 - FF7 being my first JRPG), this game doesn't hold up a match so far. Is the mainline story is amazing? So far yes, however, the world and characters never feel fully lived in. The side quests in this game feel like a complete chore. Go talk to this person here who sends you to talk to that person over there, to then come back and talk to the original person again....snooze. And all the in-game convo has TERRIBLE lip sync AND its the most bland scenes ever. And in order to know more about the story, like if i want to dive in, its like a history lesson class. So boring. So slow. Uninteresting. I just can't be bothered. I am doing them because thats what I always do in most games but specifically Final Fantasy games, I want to complete everything. While I love the overall plot, it just fails on so much for me. Combat, for me feels extremely easy. I feel like its not challenging in any way. As in most FF games, I try to grind a little every now and then to grow my characters (or in this case... Clive) and its just a mash of buttons. Is it exciting, sure! But I don't feel like theres true strategy at all. FF7 Remake battle system is in my opinion, INCREDIBLE and THE BEST. So, if this is the future of the Final Fantasy games, i'm not excited for this in one bit. If i had to give this a score, 1 - 10, id give it maybe a 7.5. I'm still not done yet, but we'll see.
