Just wanna make this clear again - Take this information with a grain of salt. There's always room for more clarity and maybe even some corrections down the line. None of this is confirmed by Valve. However, CS2's sub tick mechanics are proven to work already so that's good news in itself.

Watched, i agree i played a lil of cs2 two weeks ago and it felt so offgetting used ti sub tick so i stoppped playign and have been grinding dark and darker

At least you haven't played SAMP and experienced lag shooting. Nobody could aimbot, because everyone needed to shoot behind their target. Then came the sync. Way too many aimbotters

couple thousand headshots now sometimes I hit shots that shouldn't hit and sometimes I don't hit shots that I should hit random imo

Just make shooting animation client side and server side so shooting registration is instant and so is the animation and animation while spectating can be a tick late

in csgo the hitreg sucks but almost all the time when you miss the target it feels like you hit it, while in cs2 the hitreg is "good" but almost all the time when you hit the target it feels like you missed it ... I wonder what would happens if Valve just "delay" the animation (client side) like 5 to 10 milisseconds just for visual purposes

I havnt played cs2 yet but if its more acurate to what you see it on your screen then maybe players should get used to trusting the hit reg the sound of shooting

There's no reason for them not to activate animation on fire client-side regardless of tick then let the server display animation for everyone whenever convenient

No shooting feels off cause subconsciously i play to use ticks to my advantage to get my awp shots. Now i have to actually aim lmao.

Watched. Really interesting info Maxim! Hopefully they can fix this by syncronizing the animation somehow. Hitreg def feels better so once this is fixed it will feel much more solid.

So what happens if they just make the shooting animation client side for you. Other ppls shots would still register on the next game tick but that's of minimal consequence compared to what we currently have. Any downsides to having the animation client side?

Maybe making shot registration sync with client? That would probably solve this, since subtick is working.
