The Ultimate Final Fantasy 9 Mod - With easy setup! (Moguri Mod)

This is what happens 99% of the time I follow a tutorial for software. "It's super easy! Simply click 'here' and 'here'." Meanwhile, 'here' doesn't fucking exist anymore. Why can't apps stay the same for longer than a fucking month.

Is anyone getting the issue where the D-pad is not responding?

The "Program Files" folders are not heavy mod friendly. A more windows-savvy person could probably tell you why (something to do with permissions checks, specific to those two folders), but if you're heavy into modding you'll occasionally see reminders to move your Steam folder outside of window's program files folders.
The good part is you can just make the new folder (C:\steam, for example) and just cut/paste, click/drag.

It says the installation package isn't supported for my processor type

Using this mod for some reason makes the speech bubbles in my game huge, they scale back to a decent size when the game is paused any ideas?

I'm happy to see that the font replacement is optional. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I like the smooth, modern font better.

I'm pretty sure that, in general, running any modding tool as administrator is a workaround if you really don't want to move the game install out of the Program Files (x68) folder. Although if the modded game runs scripts in the background as you play that further modifies game files, then you might still have a problem with the game being installed in Program Files.

You should play Alternate Fantasy IX mod. It’s a difficulty mod with extra features. I won’t spoil it so I just thought be worth a mention at least. Best FFIX mod imo

Anyone having an issue where steam keeps reinstalling the game without moguri mod? Like, I launch the game, steam starts downloading the game all over again, but without moguri mod

I'd love for someone to make a FF9 mod/hack which actually include all the remaining Guardians of Terra boss fights (Fire, Wind and Water), along with the Earth Guardian, faced with all the respective teams (Zidane and Quina VS The Earth Guardian, Freya and Amarant VS The Fire Guardian, Steiner and Vivi VS The Wind Guardian, and Garnet, Eiko and, in the case of the Alternate Fantasy Mod, Beatrix VS The Water Guardian). Also, I liked the Necron final fight, but I think they should have included all the characters in that fight like in previous FF games, maybe through a team-switching mechanic like in the Bizarro Sephiroth fight in FF7, or by replacing the KO'ed characters with random ones if not revived in a few turns, like in FF6 and FF8 final boss fights. What do you think? Anyone's interested?

Are there any mods which change the battles to make them less slow or skip the wait at the beginning of each battle where it's just showing off the visuals? I've only played the original on PS1 so I'm not sure if the Steam remaster did this at all. Thanks!

Does the Moguri Mod only work on the FFIX from steam where you have to buy it ? Or you can just use the Moguri Mod on the FFIX from the free download Ocean of Games ?

theres a weird blue symbol that shows up on the middle of the screen for me after uninstalling and reinstalling moguri mod. cant figure out how to fix it

Does anybody else get a blue icon in the middle of their screen while playing with moguri. How do I get rid of it?

The option to move the folder has been completely removed in Steam. My install stays in an infinite loop while extracting from archive, so sad.

Mod looks great. The extra options are also really nice, such as guaranteed steal rate and speeding up the battles. I went from the default 15 up to 20. I feel like that was fast enough without feeling too fast. And using ReShade on top of Moguri makes the game look even more amazing. Also, it looks like the launcher has been improved since you posted this. You can change all these options directly in the launcher now, instead of having to go into the files.

this mod sucks ass for 1 reason only, and that it makes it uplayable with controllers

Steam literally will not let me have a "C: Steam" directory or any other alternate name. It just says "Selected drive already has a Steam library folder. Steam will manage multiple game installs in a single folder for you."
