PayPal Holding Money | A REAL Solution to PayPal Holding Funds!

They did the same thing with me hold my money for 180 days for no reason finally after calling and threatened to sue them they release my money.

Gosh i hate paypal. They are holding my money above 300 dollars. My money held is way more than this limit but they are holding it regardless. I dont blame them. It is because i have them set up to receive these monies. Cant wait to dump them. I blame the banks that dont have a solution as an alternative. Cant wait for blockchain and dapps to offer better solutions for control. Its my money and they dont have a right to do this. Where is gary gensler? Where are the regulators allowing them do this?????????????? I am so so so so mad and there is nothing they can do to keep me. Yeah i am one person but this is theft!!

Well I have created multiple fully verified Paypal accounts for the last 4 years this time it's my 10th account and they are fucking glitching me like my fully verified account can't accept send for friends and relative. Just waiting for their system upgrade to be finish.

This company needs to go bankrupt. Lets make it our mission for this to happen. Even the former CEO and co founder of PayPal fundamentally disagree with how PayPal do business now.

I own a nonprofit animal rescue in the states and they just played this game with us. We have had animals die because we couldn’t get our funds out of there quick enough before they permanently closed it. I had filed with the BBB before the closure so hoping I get a resolution.

Also, Hyperwallet is a service of theirs and they can deny you access from logging in while effectively preventing transfers out/withdraws. It's very dirty.

I was waiting over 2 years!!! They were even telling me that I have to send them some document, which I was supposed obtain in London. But I DO NOT LIVE in UK even!!!! Paypal are thieves....

I'm going through this now. Been using PayPal for 10 years with a spotless record. Suddenly two weeks ago, they capped my funds per month at $1,007. Any received funds over that amount would be held for up to 21 days. If you go to their website, it will say it's because "new merchants must go through this to establish a history." That of course, shouldn't apply to me. If you call them, they will tell you it's to "protect the buyer and seller." Basically, you'll get a laundry list of "reasons," but never the TRUTH.

However, if you read PayPal's terms and conditions, you can find out the truth.

PayPal's T&C explicitly states that they deposit any funds passed through their hands into a third-party account which accrues interest. By agreeing to the T&C, you (the user) agree that any interest gains on your money belongs to them, not you. So PP has a vested interest in holding as much of your money for as long as they can. THAT'S why there's "21 day holds" or "180 day holds." It's nothing to do with buyer/seller safety; it's so PayPal can hold your funds long enough to earn interest on it.

PayPal dropped this in my lap at the beginning of February 2023 and it has crippled my business this month. I can't fulfil orders without deposit amounts to order materials. Even after explaining my business model to PP, all they said was that I could request a raise on my monthly cap, ask for my account to be reviewed again in six months, or leave. I requested an increase and was immediately declined. It said I would have to wait 30 days before I could ask again.

They got greedy, that's all. And it's probably going to cost them their bottom line. I for one, will be leaving PayPal. They can kindly kiss my ass and I hope their stock price falls into a black hole.

Almost all digital money transfer services sucks I'm just done with them forever. I'd rather use western union cash transfers

This recently happened me to and I'm in the USA. They put a 21 day hold on my $355.00 paycheck. It's was my first one as an independent contractor. I contacted the BBB AND my states attorney General. A few days later, a real person from paypal called my cell phone. Funny how they contacted me via my phone number and sent me a PayPal debit card to my home and somehow I'm still not a verified person. But the lady on the phone was a little condescending and said it was somehow my fault for the 21 day hold. I told her I had already refunded my paycheck to my employer and found other means to get paid and they will never have to worry about doing business with me again. Its caused me a lot of stress feeling robbed and bamboozled but luckily I was able to refund my money back to my employer. And they charged me $6.65 for me to receive $355.00.

I face the holding funds for 21 days for my first transaction. I mean after all the lengthy verification and after saying that my account is “ready to accept payments”, why then hold the fund? And if need to hold, why not let us know before hand so we can decide whether to proceed with PayPal or not? And there’s opportunity cost for not having the fund that we should be entitled to, who’s responsible?

I think the best thing to do is to with draw your money consistently dont let 1000$ sit in your PayPal account thinking its safe it's not a bank withdraw asap

Worst part about PayPal (atleast in my situation) is that they claim not to be an Escrow service, however they will hold your money for 21 days.. = Escrow 😂

They then want you to do a number of sales to increase reputation and verify your bank/card (already did that). I'm not a major player. I use PayPal to pay for stuff online and to receive a bit of cash from time to time. How I wanted to sell some hardware to USA and the amount was about 3k USD... Voila, "your recieved funds are on hold for 21 days" 😂🙈

Hi, i'm a beginner, i thought it must be me that didn't understand something whatsoever that caused my money (paypal balance) gone with no clue/any explanation, i've been trying to contact paypal to get a response from somebody in paypal (help pages don't help), but so far to no avail. I received a donation of 10$, i saw my paypal balance was 10$, no other transactions, i let it there for few days, as i checked out my paypal balance again to transfer it to my bank account, the money is not there, my balance is 0, where did my 10$ go?...how did it disappear?...i know, it's not much, but that's the only donation i received, and not about the amount, but the fact how the heck my money on paypal disappeared without any clues/explanation. I got to think that paypal stole my money and they can't be contacted for any clarification. I actually doubted myself when i thought so, but now after watching your video i'm sure my thought was right. They will suspend your account with zero warning. It is almost like they do not have your phone number and don't know how to use email. They held $10K of my hard earned money, promised to give it back after 180 days!!!! 4 months into my wait and they cleared my account of funds and transferred it into their own account. After numerous phone calls with Paypal reps in the Philippines, I have no answers. Ironically, they stole the equivalent of 3 years wages for those supervisors I talked to in the Philippines. DO NOT KEEP YOUR MONEY IN YOUR PAYPAL ACCT, THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND!

Always remove paypal $ asap. Never leave any amount there. Transfer to you bank, then remove your CC and bank account details so the criminals can't hold your $.

Paypal are scaming. The longer they hold your money, the more they make. They can put your money on hold at anytime they want to. Check user agreement. Why would I want someone controlling my monies. No better than a bank. Defi is the way to go
