Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Review: Was It Good?

What about the 3rd hp bar as well as the inclusion of a second ultimate jutsu for some characters while they were awakened not to mention that you could play in awakened mode as some characters

The 4 Sound Ninjas were originally DLC for this game back on PS3.
It was literally the first DLC I ever downloaded for any game.
I was so happy because it was free.
I liked the challenge missions.
I especially liked how the first game had a tree climbing mini game among others and you got to play through moments in the anime and the animation was so good back then and still is good to this day.
I still love this game probably more than the second and third ones but those games are also great.
My only gripe with the original Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm game was that you couldn't play as Zabuza but you can in the sequels which is awesome.
I have the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy on Switch.
So I can play the first 3 Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games whenever and wherever I want.
I don't care for Boruto though so I never bothered to buy the 4th one.

Let me be real… The awakenings with Naruto hyped me up a lot. Learning about the kyuubi interested me as a child! 7 years later, I’m still a Naruto person over Sasuke. Curse mark is sick, but i really liked Nine tails more. I favored more of Naruto than Sasuke years back and still do. When i played other Naruto games like Generations, i was to always play as Naruto! I would pick Sasuke less, (Like i said, Pts Sasuke’s pretty cool alongside his og ult, which is what i really enjoyed.) but i deranged from Naruto more. I’m glad i did over years! 🦊

i don't like the fact that you need to do sidequest to continue the main quest
Also, compared to storm 3 and 4, the game is very limited in terms of commands
I like the fact that you can start the match already transformed

BUT i only bought because it is the only storm that you can explore konoha for real.

removing wall running and ultimate jutsu clashes was prob the stupidest idea ever done

I wanted to complete this stupid game, I tried doing side missions to continue on the actual story mission thing... good god the side missions additions r fucking hard to do, they wanted u to do these additions correctly 100% and I was like "bro...". Yk what makes no sense, at the start when Naruto never learned rasengan but when u awaken him into the his first tail form, he suddenly have rasengan... makes no sense bro. I do like the communications before battle but its just so stupid how much u need to grind in order to go through the story... like I just quit. Lets not forget about the quick time... u barely get any chance of pressing the buttons correctly before the time runs out, one mistake of a button, u fail... so yeah, I quot that shit. Case close

The game was good to me when I was younger, now it's mid as I grew up.

I haven't played any storm games only The ultimate Ninja heroes games should i play Storm 1 or should I skip it for next parts ? I don't really care about the story i already have enough time watching Naruto without skipping Fillers ( I didn't know what they were when i first started watching )
I also don't think my laptop can handle storm 4 though ( no graphics card )

So should I play Storm 1 or skip and play 2/3 ?

Still remember those stupid hide and seek missions with Konohamaru. I swear that sheet is luck based.

Compared to broken bonds, this game was ass for sure. But I enjoy this game even more now since you can't even play broken bonds unless you have a 360 and disc copy

Great review!! I just want to say that in 2008 NPCs hadn't come as far so they we're still much more robotic in all games of this time if you ask me but, even in NS4 the NPCs are zombie garbage so they never really improved it much lol

for me, this is the second worst game ever, "baianinho" is the first, i'm simply stuck in the fight against shukaku. the game even in the easy difficult is sooooo appealing in so many ways... 100% of the times right after we throw shurikens, the game forces the character to simply stand still without responding to any commands and obviously in a fight that the enemy combines several actions in a combo, costs lots of hp, involuntary dashes towards the enemy are also extremely frequent and cost hp. Because of these problems I'm stuck fighting Shukaku and Gaara in another mission, i cannot even go forward on the history missions because i have no "mission exp"... the worst game I've ever played in my life and there's no discussion

Im fairly new to Naruto only seen the anime up till the ino sakura chunin exam. I agree with pretty much all of this the open world needs work, hide and seek is annoying and crap story needs way more context, more cutscenes haku and zabuza shouldn't have been ignored. Tree jumping and climbing gets old but mission so isn't that bad it's not like you do every free mission then have to sit their grinding missions over and over to move on and as long as it was a fight didn't bother me because some had interesting dialouge before the fight. Defiantly not the worst game I've played and not the best I'd give it st least a 7 and as far as I'm aware 2-4 improve the game in every aspect but probably won't play those until I get last each story part for each game to avoid spoiling myself since Naruto ninja storm 1 does a piss poor job and spoiles next to nothing doesn't bother me to play it.

The only better version of this is on the PS3 it’s called ultimate ninja storm generations where it actually fixes the QuickTime event and gets rid of them entirely making you reliant on just sitting there and watching it all play out which is a lot better if you want my opinion

But I don’t know whether they’re going to do it I’ll just have to wait and see

The quick time events were easier in the sequels of the games to come what they really need is a good version of this game so that people can do it better either that or improve the menu with updates And I can’t wait until they make a Boruto Altima Ninja storm

These QuickTime event really are annoying finally someone who gets me I can’t stand the QuickTime event they should’ve done it like in Ghost of Terashima where you can post them in the options menu so you can have time to do them and memorise them or they could’ve just give you one to do it like God of War

Storm 1 is pretty trash. Took me a long time to figure it out. Wall running and jutsu clash is cool but you have to go out of your way to do it. Doesn’t feel natural. Game was just mid

Definitely agreed on the story portion of your thoughts on the game. It felt a lot more grindy than actual grindy games. But the overall series was still enjoyable to play. Its a shame they didn’t include the Zabuza and Haku arc and the sound 4 not being playable.

I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects but honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. ☯️✌

Legacy is on sale right now for less than 15. Probably worth it.

I'm working on getting the platinum trophy for this game right now and it's definitely more of a slog than I expected it to be. I've gotten almost all the trophies, just need to finish the final story arc, get to 50% mission completion (it's going to suck so hard), and buy some more figures and the stupid ultimate jutsu movies. The movies will be a real pain, because they cost SO MUCH.

Naruto ultimate ninja storm 1 is the worst....this game is depressing....storm 4 is the best coz it get straight to the point...storm 1 is trash...period...I've been playing for 3 hours and I still dont understand what to do...still stuck on 1 stupid mission...I hate this game..
