I'm single this gun right now on my Lincoln to do sealer, basecoat, clear. I'm on a dead broke budget but suffer from trying to be a perfectionist. When you reference psi pressures for example spraying clear you say 31 to 33 psi. Is that with the trigger pulled or is that your starting psi, so when you do pull the trigger your actually between 8 to 10 psi sustained on the regulator? Thanks a bunch

Brian, you made the paint turn out great with that cheap paint gun. I bought the same paint gun to shoot household paint on a toolshed with. I would never use it for a vehicle. It is extremely cheap, and I'm not fond of the controls. I just bought a Master Elite High Performance PRO 44 series from Amazon based on your review from another video. I will paint a vintage farm tractor with it as a trial. Thank you for everything you do.

Im on an extreme budget. I want to paint guitar bodies. Will I be okay with a pancake compressor and an LVLP gun? Also, will I be able to use color shift with an LVLP gun with a 1.6mm tip?

Hi Brian . I love all your videos , you a great mentor and inspiration on how you set up your spragun , mixing paint with reducer , air pressure regulation technique , travel speed and distance away from the parts you spray painting. I always used cheap guns and it's all about flow off paint and mixing and air pressure , the speed when painting. Preparation of surface is very very important and key to minimising dust and overspray to get excellent results every time. So my theory is nothing Wong with a cheap Chinese gun , it's the operator that must know how to set up and use tha tools and his ingredients. Great video as always.

I got harbor freight guns a few months ago. The holes were drilled off center and it had a permanently fucked spray pattern. Junk is junk. My 150 dollar finex 3000 does a great job tho

Here's another place for cheap spray guns, paint like POR-15. Thar stuff is like a glue/ thread locker. Even with proper cleaning, I would never send that stuff through my good guns. If you are putting POR-15 on a chassis where appearance does not matter much, that's the use for it and one wouldn't care if the POR-15 trashes the cheap $30 gun afterwards.

I just bought my guns, one is about $5 and the other one is about $10. The gun comes with 9 meter air hose with fittings installed. Oh, shipping included. 😂

My purple Harbor Freight gun has sprayed many cars and trucks over the past 4 years and it still works great! Well worth the money spent in my opinion. ;-)

Do you really always use just a normal filter mask for dangerous two part clear?

BTW.... I wouldn't up a small "touch-up gun" for cars, trucks, etc. However they do amazing on small items like helmets, bike parts, and other projects.

I hate 2 stage. I live in the desert and all i see is clear peeling and bubbling from the extreme summer temps. For my vehicle i will use quality single stage acrylic urathane.

The difference between a cheap gun and a expensive gun is longevity that gun will last a professional half to a third the amount of time of a good quality one.
